[Resolved] Airtel 3G Usb Modem — speed problem | |||
i'm using AIRTEL 3g dongle with a poor speed of 7-8 kbps for number ([protected]). My signal strength is good and using in WCDMA network with an airtel 3g pack. Even, several times i have registered my complaint at customer care but no action was taken! speed is too bad that it took 10 minutes to post this complaint only on this site. Myself Pradeep N, I had purchased a new USB modem E1731 and number ([protected]) two days before . it has got activated but i see the speed is very low . I had paid Rs. 2000 which includes 655 monthly plan . ( 3G up to 3GB with 7.1 mbps speed) . After installation i am getting speed less than 10 Kbps . This is very bad speed to browse .
Please help me resolving this issue, I have already logged a complaint . the complaint no . is PGPSC[protected] .
I am having signal strength 95%, still the speed is very very less . I have tried checking the speed at my home ( Mei layout, bagalagunte, hesaraghatta main road, bangalore -73) and Electronic city phase 1 . both the place i am facing this issue .
Please find atached screen shot which gives more information.
Request customer care that this issue is solved ASAP .

Airtel 3G Usb Modem — poor speed.
I have purchased 3G usb modem from Airtel relationship center recently.I have invested Rs. 4250/- For 3G modem
& around 500 for data card.
I have been told that you will get speed around 256 kbps.
But now I am getting speed which is shown by modem is:-
maximum-56 to 92kbps (Few minutes in hours o[censored]se)
Minimum- 0 to 12kbps (maximum time of the day)
Average- 6kbps (the average speed after use for a hour)
I advise you not to choose airtel at any cost.
Anyway i am going to stop using.
