[Resolved]  Airtel — Activation not yet done(even after 16 hours)

I am staying in Jeevan Beema Nagar. I had applied for the Airtel DTH on 28-Mar-2013 in the night through online payment with 2 months free subscription(Rest of India -Rs295/- Pack).They had come to install the Airtel DTH on 29-Mar-2013 around 6:00PM in the afternoon. They had installed and told me that activation will take around 30 minutes. Around 9:30PM when we came back, the Airtel DTH was still not activated. I called up and asked why hasn't it been activated yet. He gave me the Number of someone in the Acivation department. I called up and the Activation Dept. guy told me that he is checking my case only and activation should be done by 10-15 minutes. after another half an hour called up and he said another 15 minutes. This continued till 11:00PM. After that he stopped picking my call or was directly cancelling the call. On 30-Mar-2013, at 6:30AM in the morning I tried calling again to the Activation Dept guy, as yet the DTH was not activate, but he didnt pick up the call. So, I thought I will call the Airtel Customer Care and register a complaint. When I called the Airtel Customer Care and tried to log the complaint with my account Number([protected]), the Customer care was giving an automated reply that "The Number is incorrect". I had gone to the Airtel office at 9:30AM again and there I came to know that the very honoured DTH Personnel doesnt come before 11:00AM. I am just irritated. If there was a problem. What the hell is their problem in just telling the customer that the activation will take sometime(around 24 hours), at least I won't be continuosly running around everybody.

First Time I could get hold of a person was at 30-Mar-2013 11:10AM. ANd then they are informing me that the Activation takes 72 hours. What kind of harrasment is this of the Customers?

Airteldth — Installation not done even after 3 months

its has been 3 months that I have paid the money to Airtel DTH and so far even in Feb 2011 I dont have connection . Each time I send an email, I get a response saying that they will do something. They are so pathetic in service It is pity to see that they are still running business.

I have not even received my paid money.

Airtel — activation has not done yet!

i ve just bought a duplicate SIM for my number [protected]... i barred that SIM from one of my friends airtel number and now its been so long after i bought that duplicate SIM and still its not getting activated.. so i try calling the customer services and they re not responding because they re not responsible for this.. so i need my activation to be done fast

Airtel DTH — Not received my connection even after payment.

To Airtel DTH Authorities,

It was really very horrible and bad experience to get installed my DTH from you. Though I was surprised by this much poor quality of your service. Even after 30 calls to your call center and all energy put in, with my money wasted in advance 2000 recharge, i was unable to get it installed in 5 days, now I have lost hope and have stopped making calls. I would suggest everybody whoever is reading this compalint that please do not buy this Airtel DTH product as they have horrible consumer services and this was a total waste of money, energy and efforts.

Airtel /DTH — Not activating the DTH connection even after payment

I have an existing Airtel DTH connection at my house. I made a payment for an additional connection for the 2nd TV on 2nd April 2012. I was promised that after the payment i will get the installation done in 1-2 days. It has been over 16 days now and nobody has come for the installation. I have called the customer care number 12148 about 25-30 times and everytime i get the same response that somebody will call you for the installation but nobody is showing up. Even after dropping 4-5 mails to [protected]@in.airtel.com, i get the same response that it will be installed asap but nothing is happening. It is really frustating to call them again and again and still not able to get things going.
I told all the information to the lady in the Customer Service over the Call at 11:10AM. She told me she will transfer the call to her Senior Executive, it was transferred and then it was just cut-off. Its really irritating.
I am Suresh. I have bought a airtel dth connection on 27-Mar-2013 and I have been told that it will be installed within 24 to 48 hours. But its not yet installed and its more than 48 hours. From morning I have been trying to contact the airtel customer care and they transfer the call to different departments and no one wants to take to take the responsibility. The call gets automatically disconnected after waiting in the line for so long and its quite irritating. They again said it will take another 24 to 48 hours. My call is also being blocked automatically. If I try from a different number, then I am able to connect to the customer care. I did asked them to refund it but they are not responding to that as well. They said I will get a call back to discuss on that.
True. Same is happenning in my case also.

I got a call at 2:15 PM on 30-Mar-2013 from Airtel. The lady said that she had seen that I had raised a complaint in the Consumer Forum about the above Airtel DTH Issue. She asked me a few details fo the Airtel DTH set-top box and then said to keep the DTH ON for 2 hours. Now at around 2:30PM, Airtel DTH is activated for me.

I got a call around 2:00PM (30-Mar-2013) from a lady of Airtel. The lady said that that the Airtel team had seen a complaint raised by me in the Consumer Forum about the activation of the Airtel DTH. She requested a few details of the Airtel DTH and then asked me to keep the DTH ON for 2 hours.

Then around 2:30PM (30-Mar-2013), my Airtel DTH got activated.

Suresh, I hope your DTH is also activated now.
