[Resolved]  Airtel — Airtel Broadband not working

I am writing to you to bring to your attention on my Airtel Broadband connection - [protected] which is not working for almost 2 months now. My Airtel broadband connection was not working starting 21st July 2013 and I registered my first complaint with Airtel Customer care - Complaint No : 35928598. The engineers had come to repair and resolved on 24th July 2013. However, I faced the same problem on 27th July and the complaint number is 36235058. Everytime the reply I got from the engineer was "the link is down". This issue was resolved again on 29th July 2013. This was happening consequently after that and below are the complaint numbers registered: [protected] Raised on 30th July 2013 and resolved on the same day. [protected] Raised for cancellation as I was frustrated with the service. After which I received a call from Airtel to give one last opportunity to rectify the issue permanently. I did agree. [protected]rd Aug 2013 - Issue occurred again and complaint registered for broadband not working. This was again rectified on 6th Aug 2013. Again the issue reoccurred during the last week of August 2013 and I directly contacted the engineer to help me with the same. He mentioned that the issue is because of the modem and so I went ahead to purchase a modem on 6th Sept 2013 paying Rs.2150 from “Indira tele Communication and Electricals”. I thought the issue will not occur again and believed it is gone forever. It was working fine for a week and after which I tried connection on 18th Sept I understood it is not available again. I called the customer care and was told that it is a mass outage in bannerghatta area because of rains, 800 lines are down and the broadband will not be available till next day 9am IST. When I asked them why there was no intimation to the customers, I was told that this is unplanned outage and hence there is no communication. Again when I tried logging in on 19th Sept, I understood the service is not available still. I went ahead to file another complaint on 20th Sept with complaint number[protected]. An engineer had visited and he mentioned that he would like to observe the connection for 2 days. But again on 21st Sept it was not working, so I had asked them to reopen the same complaint which is not addressed till now. I am using various airtel service for many years and i am totally upset with the service I am getting for this issue. They are not able to provide me with a permanent solution to this problem and I had also invested Rs.2150 on getting another modem which did not make any sense now. I was also repeatedly calling the Customer care on almost on a daily basis which is frustrating. I request you to take this on high priority case and take necessary action. Airtel User

The issue seems to be rectified now foe few days now and surprisingly the Airtel Engineers rectified it from outside itself, which clearly conveyed that the issue is not with the modem. The amount I spent on the modem seems useless and unfair.

Rs.2150 (modem) and Rs.1345 (monthly rental) - I wish I could have invested this in a better place.

I called the customer care and told them to waive off this month's bill as most of the times the net was not available. I was confirmed the same yesterday (by CC - Manoj) after confirming with the concerned department. I was informed that I would be getting a call or message confirming the same. However havent got one till now. Called the CC again today and was told that they would be doing the same tomorrow.. Donno how long I should wait.

Hopefully they would address this soon as I just not convinced about paying the bill this month. I would also need an answer fr the money spent on modem.
