[Resolved] Airtel — Airtel charging for MESSAges | |||
I have been using airtel for more than a year now.When i first bought my airtel SIM it had plan in which every call would be billed per second and there would be 100 SMS free after first 3 SMS.These first 3 SMS would be charged at 50 ps per SMS.Now during this diwali there was blackout on SMS as always so I was charged 1 Rs per SMS but since then on later days the SMS was chargeable at 1 Rs per SMS and moreover i couldnt even send any free SMSes.I called up airtel on 15th Nov 2012 to tell them that my SMS was being charged at 1 Rs,the executive told me that your problem would be solved and all money would be reimbursed to your account.The charging of SMS at Rs 1 continued and i called airtel customer care(121) on the following day and I was shocked when they told that there are no free SMS facilities on your number since your card is not a FRIENDS card.I argued that I always used to get 100 SMS free after initial 3 SMS but then the guy kept me on hold and never answered.Later I again called them and a girl recevied and she had to say something similar and should assured me that she would tranfer my call to her supervisor but then she put me on hold till 7 mins and I had to cutoff since now a days they charge us even for calling customer care numbers.I really find myself helpless and need some assistance on how to deal with these people.I have recorded the second customer care call.Please Help you can contact me on [protected]@in.com or [protected]@yahoo.com Was this information helpful? | |||

AirTel — charging of messages
sir,i have an airtel connection with a plan that gives me 500 messages free( national/local). in my december 2010 -january 2011 bill i was charged for these messages. when i talked to the representative i was told that on black days the messages are charged. but when i took the plan i was never told about these black days and neither did they send me any message of these telling me that if i send the messages on these days i will be charged the money. i have not paid the outstanding amount till date. now my outgoing services have been withdrawn. i am facing a lot of inconveneience from this company and my daily working has suffered due to which i am unable to concentrate on my work.
