Airtel — Airtel Pathetic DTH Services

If Govt. thinks applying Digital Addressable Systems (DAS) will improve customer viewing experience than I believe without setting standards like what bitrates, bandwidth, compression etc audio/video quality of both SD & HD channels are not going to improve the viewing experience of consumers instead it’s going to suffer a lot. I have experienced the same with Airtel DTH #1 Worst/Pathetic DTH provider in India. Airtel use MPEG4 DVB S2 technology but still provides inferior quality for both SD & HD Channels this is due to heavy use of compression in place and the end result is picture looks dull, gets blurred many times, audio across all channels are same be it SD or HD effected with heavy DRC or some other compression techniques used by Airtel on a whole poor viewing experience. In fact Airtel charging more than any other DTH provider but still provides cheap services at a very high cost. Airtel Fake Advertisements are everywhere to attract consumers interest in them who are unaware of their cheap tactics and hidden Terms & Conditions which protects them every time and all the burden comes on consumer and this is due to Govt. fault in policy making which must protect their Janta who choose them to rule and the end result is consumers have to pay the price. My request to Information Broadcasting Ministry/TRAI is to take steps against such companies especially Airtel to either return my money or improve their services and heavy fined them/cancel their licenses for humiliating their customers for availing their services.
I have taken this issue up with Airtel Higher Officials before taking this step and the answer is we are the No. 1 DTH Provider in providing the best viewing experience and there is no compression on Audio or Video we have put in place. This means the broadcasters are using obsolete technology or cheap standards to beam their channels or Airtel again lying about this just to save them from consumers? I don’t think so but as per Airtel Technical Team this seems to be the answer. One thing can be they are not much educated in DTH Sector or saving the company from consumers.

Airtel — worst quality

sub:complain about my airtel digital tv connection

with respect to inform you that i am customer of airtel since 9th nov 2008 and my no is [protected] name as SANJAY DHAMELIYA AHMADABAD and in last month they increase a rent for me so i call customers care and ask about that and they told me that you have also activeted Hindi plus top up and i say stop that top up and tell me which channel i Can see now so they told me 5-6 and not ready to tell me all the channels and i see after half an hour of that phone call my all Hindi plus channel's gone but also gone my star plus channel so on 4th december2009 i again call to costumer careand make a complain to this and no was 1570331 on second day they call me and say that your complain has been solved and you can see that starplus channel after half an hour right now updation is going on so right now you can not see the channel but after some time you can see that channel
after that i wait for 2-3 days and on 7 th December i again make a complain with no 1584672 and next day same reply that your problem ahs been solved but still not able to watch star plus but rest of channels ware OK
i wait for Star plus till 9th but not solved till that day i make a complain to them on 9th and no was 1594673.they reply me that all channel are OK but starplus we have to check to your box and card so we will send a engineer to your home tomorrow at 10 am i wait for that engineer till 10 and that person calling me and telling me that you have passed 1 year so my visit not comes in free visit for that you have to pay me i said don't come if i have to pay for and ask him what i pay its a company fault i said to company to stop my top up any why they stop my package channel for which i am paying now also its a company fault and company has to send a person or not that they have to decide i want service for what i am paying its not my fault its your technology fault and why customer has to pay for fault technology use by company its not a mettor of pay but company cheating to customer in such a way so please show me the way what to do next.

I would like to point out that DTH companies, are earning double from advertisement & also from the consumer. As we as consumer is paying for the direct to home facility for the downloading of the content hence the company is earning. Second also earning huge amount from advertisement. Why is it so, company if are willing to earn from advertisement than customer should be provided free.

Dual mode of earning is totally wrong.

Second issue how come news channels are broadcasting advertisement & stating that this news is sponsored by this company. This is case for all the news channels, government or private. This is very objectionable and should be stopped immediately.

Hope action is going to be taken in this matter.

Airtel DTH — very pathetic service

My customer id is [protected] and I requested to all of you. Plz never buy Airtel DTH its really painful experience. I have Airtel and i am suffering since i bought. Very bad service, customer care is useless. i feel handicap i have no option to do anything.
I destroy Airtel DTH and going to buy new DTH. Plz don't buy Airtel DTH, they are big cheater in market and they spoiled our image. Go to hell Airtel DTH

AIRTEL DTH HD — Video quality

I have recently bought a airtel hd-dth connection # [protected]. Engineer from Airtel visited for an issue on non-reciept of certain channels and since then the quality of the picture had deteriorated substantially. I want to get the issue resolved permananently and want somebody from Airtel take this issue seriously. If not, I would request Airtel to refund my annual payment as well as the cost of the stb.

Airtel India — Pathetic Services

I have boosted my mobile with Rs225 booster and i am being charged with 10ps. messaging other carrier networks. When i called one of your customer care number, they mentioned they had posted the revised plans in news paper. But when i get the balance, the notification states the Rs225 "old plan" status! Are we fools here? Is there no transparency in Airtel services? I need a proper explanation for the misleading!!
I have also attatched the image of balance notification. Please look into this issue seriously.

What are you talking about? I have told all these concerns to Airtel Presence facebook page and email @ airtelpresence and dth nodal but it seems Airtel ego is too big and the situation is like I'm stuck with such an idiotic company now and I have not recharged my account above that and when I asked you to return my money as you're providing the cheapest DTH Services and demanding very high cost for the same. If Govt. people really looking at this It's my humble request to you all to look into the policies these company made like not returning money and neither improving their services... All their advertisements are fake to and I can guarantee that... Don't buy their DTH services otherwise you are stuck like I'm now... BEWARE OF ARITEL DTH... Just Pathetic DTH provider in India and the Govt. don't have the guts to intervene in their policy making and relie[censored]s from them. I'm stuck paying them alot and I need my money back... The worst pathetic DTH provider in India... and I don't mind saying Chor Company Hai ek number ki... Customers ko harassment karti hai.. DISAPPOINTED.. :(

I don't know how you said it's resolved... but for everyone this is the lesson how they cheat... I have not even recharged my DTH Account due on 2nd July... Neither I received any call and nor any of my complain resolved by AIrtel... Ah God they are very good at cheating... CRAP... No. 1 Fraud Company operating in India and the Govt. don't have the Guts to charge them or penalize them for cheating customers rather torturing them and to be honest cancel their license forever... CHEAP CHEATER COMPANY... MERA PAISE KHA GAYE.. :(
