Airtel — Bad service and cheating

Dear Sir,

This is regarding the poor service given to me by Airtel DTH over the last 2 months. I have been constantly facing problems of DTH connectivity at my home. It started on 28th july when i first faced the problem when there was no proper DTH connection. The engineer came after 3 days of regular complaint and he charged me Rs.100 as visiting charges and an extra Ra.100 for changing the bottom rod of the Dish antennae at the terrace. And it was assured to me that i wont face this problem again.

But just within 10 days the problem occurred again and again i had to call the engineer again. This time a new enginner came and he stated that the problem is due to the location of the dish antennae. With the current location it doesn't gets proper connectivity and its better to change the location. so taking his advice i told him to go ahead. He said there will be additional charges of somewhere around rs. 600-700. I was aghast to hear that and said that I am not liable for it as the location was decided by your engineer and not suggested by me. I had infact paid around 700 rs in the month of jan for the setting up of dish cable. Post that i got a call from some senior manager from airtel and he also stated the same thing. I still said i wont pay. Then he stated that they will try to give some solution and i shouldn't face any problem further.

Now again for the last 3-4 days i have been facing the same problems. And their engineers are again saying that its due to the wrong location of the dish antennae. Fed up with all this i told Airtel executives that i need to cancel the DTH service and i need my money refunded as my I have made an annual payment till april 2013. He said that it cant be done as i am a Advance customer and my monies has been used. I cant get this logic, when i have not used the service till april 2013 why cant i get my money refunded. I am cancelling the connection also due to pathetic service given by the Airtel DTH team and there exists no fault of mine.
