[Resolved]  Airtel Blackberry — UNDER WARRANTY ..PORT NOT WORKING FROM DAY 1

My name is Ekta Dua . I am working with British Telecom -Bangalore as a Site Director.

I had approached Airtel Corporate office at bannerghatta Road - bangalore today and as they were not able to help me , I am writing to you to seek you urgent help in this matter .

I have a blackberry pearl with subjected imei . This is a corporate mobile and I started Using this phone in January this year 2009 . Bannerghatta Airtel has verified the records today at their end also . I had approached the same branch twice earlier in last 7 months complaining about the charger not going in the port as the port seems to be really tight from day 1 . First time I had visited the bannerghatta office was in february . The blackberry suppoprt staff told me that since your phone is totally okay , the port is meant to be tight so I need not worry about it . I was not convinced and had to visit the brach again in June .. The engineer took the blackberry for an hour , kep me waiting at the reception and thereafter confimed that there is no issue with the port and everything is fine with my set and I should not bother .

I had no choice and bank upon their advice and keep using the set as is . On 9th sept , Morning I tried connecting the charger to the port and it was not charging . Today , I took for the 3rd time to bannerghatta branch - airtel and they are asking me to pay 5600 for the port as they cant consider this as a maufacturing fault despite my visiting and reporting this matter twice with them in the past .

I am at a loss and really confused . No one was there to listen to the issue and sort out the matter . I will be highly obliged and grateful if some one could explain me why I should bear the cost of the port when there s no fault of mine . I phone is totally brand new and there is 1 issue right from day one.. To the extend that because of this damaged port the phone survived for 8 months , but totally its given up so that does not mean that Airtel will wash their hands off this matter .

I was made to again wait at your branch for good 2 hours and there was no senior official to actually adddress my complaint and help me out .

I Believe in the Brand and hence I am hoping that you would do your level best to decide whats the best for us to continue this relatioship

Dear All,

I Prasun Tiwari ([protected]) from FARIDABAD HR., Purchase New Blackberry Bold(9000) dt. 26/09/2009 & after that I face problem of SOS on dt 27/11/2009.

I handed over SET on your South Ex. (Delhi) office (Service Request No.10175) on dt. 27/11/2009 to rectify the problem. they said to return back our SET within 10 days.
I got call on dt. 07/12/2009 from your side, they said to charge Repair Cost will be Rs. 6300/-, & they are asking to confirm the same. I get back my Handset as it given on dt. 16/12/2009.

I handed over again my Handset (Service Request No. 11745) with a Cheque of Rs. 6300/- on dt. 18/12/2009 for reparing after that I got a call dt. 31/12/2009 from Blackberry that my Handset is not repairable so collect the same.

I want to know that my Handst cost Rs. 32000/- is currently ZERO, because Blackberry Service Center person (Mr. [protected] - South Ex office) said that Handset is not repairable.

Now we request to all that kindly look into the matter try to solve the same.
