[Resolved] Airtel Broadband — Illegal charges | |||
My customer id is: 14760311 and I have been customer for Airtel for last 3 years. I was on plan where I paid Rs. 3500 every month for 2MB DSL connection for 100MB download limit. Last month I discovered that plan I was on has been discontinued for almost a year and the plan was replaced with another plan where you paid 2000 for 4MB connection and 150 MB download. When I complained to Airtel that why I have been overpaying Rs. 1000 for plan where I get half the download speed, 50% download speed, they told me that it is not their responsibility and I have to ensure that Airtel does not keep stealing my money. So I asked them to change me to new plan they told me it will be done from next period. This conversation happened on Oct 21st 2011. I called again on 25th Oct and 3rd Nov to check if plan has been changed, they told me that yes they are working on it. The result of all those changes. I got a new bill that is even higher, now it is Rs. 4206. Apparently billing dept decided that I have to pay full amount for voice call! And I was also told that they have not moved me to new plan! So here is where things stand: 1. I DON'T intend to pay the overinflated bill, I should be charged Rs. 2000 instead of Rs. 4200. 2. I will love to go to consumer court to get my money back for last one year of overcharge. And only plan I intend to pay for - your plan 1999 or 2099, depending on what connection you people give me.
