[Resolved]  Airtel Broadband — New broadband connection- not provided, cheque not returned

Subject: Non-provision of airtel broadband connection

I had applied for a new airtel broadband connection (under the scheme for already existing postpaid airtel customers) (on 14/11/2009 and again on 26/11/2009) under the name of Dr. Nikhil Tiwari (address: 90/84 B, 3rd Floor, Malviya Nagar, New Delhi).

It was only after lodging my first complaint (no[protected], that an executive (Khemraj: mobile no.-[protected]) came, filled up a form (form no.[protected] and collected my documents and cheque of Rs.1000 on 14th November 2009 and said the connection will be set up in the next 3 days. Even after lodging complaint with the customer care number (no.[protected], he did not contact me for the next 7 days and did not attend my calls on his mobile. I contacted him on his office phone number, when he said balantly it was not possible to provide connection and I should get my cheque cancelled from my bank. When I confrnted him and asked him to give back my cheque, he said this was their company policy!!!! the behaviour of this person was very rude and unruly.

Cancellation of cheque (number-569105) has cost me Rs.110.

Two days later another executive turned up and filled up a new form (no. 1986499) , took documents and a cheque of Rs.1000 (no.- 555999) on 26th November 2009 with assurance that connection would be installed in next 3 days. Again after 3 days, I called up inquire when He told me it was not possible to provide broadband connection. the cheque has as of now not been returned.

I was harrased for about 15 days, wherein I had to repeatedly call the concerned executives, this led to loss of my money, I was misinformed by the executives of your company. Even compalints at the customer care did not help, with people at call center saying they can't trace my records through compalint numbers and calls were put on hold for as long as 10 minutes and sometimes even disconnected.

This kind of service is not expected from airtel and in no way can be tolerated.
I want the company:
1. to refund my amount that I had to bear to get the cheque cancelled (Rs.110)
2. give me reasons for not being eligible for airtel broadband connection
3. to take strict action against such company representatives whio misinform and harras customers

I can furnish any more details regarding the above compalint if required along with copies of the forms I filled up to apply for connections and receipts of cheque payments made by me..

Airtel Broadband — New connection not been set up. 15 Days

Hi,
My Customer enrollment form number is TBLR275769. I have been to airtel office present near domlur bridge in bangalore, but there is no response from their side.
I applied for a broadband connection on 2nd September, and the guy came to collect the proof and completed the other papers work on 3rd of September. At that time, he promised that it might take 4-5 days for installation, but he will try his level best to make it as soon as possible.
Its been almost 15 days now, and there is not even a single intimation from airtel about the connection. The guy who came for enrollment is not picking up the call since then.
The name of the guy was Syed Lusuffali and his contact number(as on form)is: [protected].
On 14th of September, i called customer care, and after an argument the representative provide me with some sort of reference/complaint number:[protected] and promised the complaint will be "RESOLVED" within 24 hours.

Today in the evening i called customer care again, and the representative told me, that this enrollment form is updated yesterday, though there is no information regarding the complaint being made.
The number[protected] doesn't seem correct, and there is no such record for this number.
The reason updated is technical problem in the system..
After 15 days, there is no intimation from airtel, and just a day ago, its been technical difficulties. Today when i called, my call was escalated and the guy told me that it might take another 10 days.

If this is the case, the person who came to collect the documents etc should have informed.
And if its going to take 10 more days, I would request to refund the installation amount and 1 month advance rent(The guy took from us at the time of enrollment)

Thanks and Regards,
Gurupreet Singh Bhamra
This is height now..
Its been more tahn 20 days now.. and still no response from the airtel..
