[Resolved]  Airtel Broadband Chennai — Connectivity issue

I have airtel fixed line and broadband connectivity.Both Internet & fixed line service stopped working on 2/Aug/2013 and till now its not resolved. I called airtel customer service several time, but they give the standard response of "It'll be resolved in 24 hrs". But several days has gone past and the issue is not resolved it. In the past 6 months I have faced similar issues more than 6 times. The way in which airtel treats it's customer is very bad and disgusting. If the issue is not resolved immediately, I'll go ahead and disconnect it.

AirTel — Connectivity issue

I am using airtel mobile no [protected].I stay at Faridabad Sector 21D.10 months back i shifted from first floor of my building to 9th floor.Since then i am facing the problem with airtel there.mY calls go blank, my phone gets disconnected during the call.I made a complaint with Customer care and they sent some people for survey 2 months back.But since then i have been asking for the solution but i have to hear that they are waiting for the survey report.My business is getting effected due to this problem and i have to use my personal land line for making the calls.
Kindly suggest.

To the Airtel Customer Support Team,

I, the undersigned, had booked on 15.02.2010 for Internet Connection on a Plan of Rs.799/- unlimited through your representative Mr. Narashima - his Mobile No.[protected] [who works for your franchisee here in Bangalore].

The connection was promised within 4-5 working days. However, the reasons are best known to Airtel in not giving connection so far. And, even after 16 days, there hasn't any news from you nor whether connection will be given or not is stated by you- services of your is a 'big' question mark? I am disgusted with your services.

Now, we do not want the connection at all, and seek for a refund, as the time has exceeded beyond your promise as well not fulfilling your committment. If you cannot refund, kindly tell me - further action will be taken on Airtel through consumer court.

Since other agency(s) are ready to give immediate connection, and bestow better service, I am compelled to opt for them.

AirTel — Connectivity Issues

I am having a lot of problems with my airtel connection in pune. I have a post paid connection and i stay in warje. Most of the times when i am at home there is no network at all. And then i take my mobile to a particular place and after 5 minutes of struggle i can connect to some number. I recieve a lot of complaints from my friends saying that they tried my number but in vain. Unfortunately my husband also has airtel number so the problem becomes even more worse. I complained 2 months back and they say the status is still open as if it would ever be closed. They only falsely claim that the network team is still workin on it. I am totally enraged and seek an answer to it.

AirTel — broadband issues

It has been 10 days since my Airtel Broadband is off and according to Airtel it will take another 6 weeks to rectify the problem. I fail to understand Airtel's incompetence. If it takes 6 weeks to fix a problem, then why provide such services and harass the customers. AIRTEL HAS BECOME SO USELESS AND THEIR CUSTOMER SATISFACTION VALUE IS NIL AND THEY REALLY DON'T CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS. EVERYTIME YOU CALL THEM, THEY ARE LIKE WE WILL CALL YOU BACK IN 2 HOURS AND THAT NEVER HAPPENS. LOOKS LIKE 2 HOURS MEANS A LIFETIME FOR THEM. IT IS SO UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNETHICAL FROM A COMPANY LIKE AIRTEL. THEY SHOULD BE LITTLE MORE CONSIDERATE TOWARDS ITS CUSTOMERS. THEY REFUSE TO PROVIDE ANY ALTERNATE INTERNET ACCESS OR ANY SORT OF COMPENSATION.
I bought Airtel sim card about 5 years back [ [protected] ]. All of a sudden before 5 days the outgoing facility is not available. On querying its revealed that ID proof is required for re-activating. And while submitting the ID proof to the Airtel retailer[ Vayuputhra marketing, OCF Road, Avadi, Chennai-600054 ], people over there refused to get the documents. Same happened with other retailer also. Tell where I have to submit in Avadi retailer. "Don't make me to run here and there".

Airtel Broadband — Issues with airtel broadband

I took a new Airtel connection on 28th April. It worked fine for 2 days, however since then I have been facing issues one after the other.

May 1st- No link. Complaint given. Do not have the complaint number for this one. No action taken

May 3rd- Another complain given :[protected] again no action taken. I called on 4th again and took the number of the technician. On asking he simply, said, that it comes under the warranty period of installation team and they are not concerned. They should have passed it on to installation team, however, dont know what happened. I went thru my call logs, called the installation guys and they said, some part needs to be replaced at the back end and they replaced it.

Not a single call/communication was from their end. Everytime, it was me who had to call and know the issue.

May 6th: Not able to download files. Gets disconnected while downloading. Complaint given: 46069466

No action till 9th March: The complaint was marked resolved on 9th May, with the comment, the technician had come to my place and re-configured the modem, etc. No one had visited. Reopened it. Kept following up to no avail. The installation team or the technical person didnot bother to pick up the call once they knew it was me calling them. Called multiple times to customer service in between. Escalation team gave assurance on 9th that, the connection will be fixed by 10th afternoon. And No one till 11th or the connection was not fixed. Escalated it to Nodal_officer, and got a response from them on 18th May. Some one came and fixed.

May 18th: Raised a request to buy a wifi modem/router. #46529082 I am yet to get it. No call yet from their side.

May 21st: No Link. Complaint # 46664712 . No response. called the new installation guy on 22nd who had showed up on 18th. He came visited the house in the evening. He said, splitter not working. connected direct. In the night again the link went down. Since then I am juggling with the wires, with splitter, without splitter, playing with wires, every time the link goes down.

Some one had again closed that complain, without even bothering to call me.

Now, what are the option I have got here? they have taken Rs.1300 in advance itself and I am yet to be billed for the full amount. I have not been able to use the connection without issues even for a week.

The customer support is the worst I have ever seen.

Could you please specify which complaint has been resolved with the complaint number?
What compensation do you offer for not meeting your SLAs to the customer? If not, is the SLA just a joke?

Just for your information, I am yet to receive a call from airtel folks. The following request was by me to buy a router, I have not received any wifi router, so this obviously is not resolved.

What happened to this?

I got one call for a gentleman and he gathered the details saying he will get back to me with more information. No communication after that.

By the way, is it standard, that the connection keeps going bad time to time? I am still playing with the wires, connecting direct and thru splitter to get it work at times. Is the issue really resolved?

Hello Airtel Chennai,

I have logged a complaint on friday 7 PM

my complaint no: 39444654

But still now no one is not taken action plan. Yesterday I spoke to escalation manager said he will update the status and give resolution for the issue before 11 AM till now didn't receive any response. Poor customer care service.

Unexpected from AIRTEL. I would like to reach out the higher athourity on regards.
