[Resolved]  Airtel Broadband DSL — PC Secure fraud

I have an Airtel Broadband connection[protected]. I opted an unlimited usage plan 1099. I was paying all my bills before due date. Normally I never check my bills and take them to be all right as I thought that Airtel is a reputed company and never do anything wrong. I am the single user with my Laptop for this DSL connection.
Since I have migrated from Australia, I gave a call to Customer Care that my Australian E.mails (Out Look) are not woking here in India, the lady at the other end told me that you need to register for E.mail Relay service and for each E.mail account you will be charged Rs.49/= per month. I told her that I do not need this service as I have various e.mail accounts in my Australian Company and it would be very expensive for me to pay Rs.49/= per month per e.mail account.

Out of curosity I checked my next bill and I found that Airtel has been charging me Rs.85/= per month for PC secure antivirus software from the starting of this service, and 3 E.mail relay accounts. I called the customer care, and told them that I have never requested or downloaded any antivirus software. They insisted that it has been activated from my end. I told them that I have never heard of this software before in my life and I have not activated this PC secure.

I called the customer care various times to tell that I have never activated any software from my end. As a matter of justice my money should be returned back. They told me that they have stopped these services, but I insisted to return my previous money back. By this time I start realizing that Airtel is a cheat company and might be possible that the person came to install the connection on my premises has done some thing due to some commissions involved.

Anyhow after many e.mails and calls to customer care they gave me a discount in my bill. But I had decided to disconnect the DSL with a cheater company as I had no assurance that something like this would never happen again.
Now the real irony was waiting for me. I put a request for disconnection on 09.July.2010 (Request No.[protected] I waited for another 5 days no body came or called me for disconnection. I started calling customer care every day to know the status but they were ready to give me a new complaint number evey day. I wrote e.mails to customer care and 121 that I need disconnection of this number immediately. Finally I received a call on 20.July.2010 to persue me to keep the connection,I told them clearly that I do not need this connection. I received an email stating that the number will be disconnected on 21.July.2010
No body came to my residential premises norI received any call from them. I again called the customer care and lodged my protest for delay in disconnection. Finally I received a call from Mr. Amit (no.[protected] that they have sent a person to my premises for disconnection and I told that person that I require reconnection of this number. I was shocked to hear the way these cheater manupulate and update wrong information in their systems. As on 24th July 2010 I am still waiting for someone from Airtel to disconnect the service. I am astonished to hear the lies they can tell on your face.
Friends I can tell you with experience that Keep away from Airtel. It is indeed A CHEAT COMPANY and their employees are trained to cheat people.

dsl broadband — disconnection of services

pl refer to my complain no 22922532 today from my phone no [protected]. hence i request yourgoodselves to disconnect the dsl broadbend services immidiately. please send me the confiramation of the same aong with the usage bill amount till today onmy email and on my mobile no [protected] at your earliest .
