[Resolved]  Airtel Broadband — False Data Usage(Data theft)

I upgraded my broadband plan to 30 GB limit because I was exceeding the data limit when I had the 20 GB plan
Said the Airtel executives & recently my desktop was not functional for a month or so and all I was using was an iPad , iPhone on wifi... Very light usage & I got the email as usual from Airtel saying I've exceeded 80% data usage and after 2 days it's 100% ... The same happened this month where all I do is check mails, Facebook, watch YouTube. On 25th May 2012 I exceeded my so called data usage of 80 % and on Monday 28th may I exceeded 100%... So I used 6 GB in 3 days. They are just cyber thieves stealing from there innocent customers... Who does that?? It's really demeaning & shocking as well... It's happening with me for the 6th time
I really want the appropriate authorities to take some strict action against these petty thieves who just can't get enought off all the money they possess.

i am also facing the same problems since i started using wifi.i complained a lot of times but nothing was done by the company .they just said when the wifi is ON it uses some data on its own when we surf or download.

Hi,

I have been facing the same problem since I upgraded to Airtel 30 GB high speed plan, it exhausts with in 1 week. When I check the data usage by day, it shows really wierd downloads of big chunks (600 MB, 1 GB etc.) at even 5 AM in the morning. I talked to customer care but they don't have an answer for it. This is really bothering me, and I am thinking of discontinuing the connection if nothing has been done. To add to it, there are actually several online complaints that I found regarding Airtel Data Usage.
