Airtel Broadband — Overcharged for 4 months | |||
Hi, I have already sent this mail to wecare.[protected]@airtel.in but already two tickets have been logged , my connection is disconnected and no respite yet. My account number is 15299939 Airtel landline number is- [protected] I like to bring to your notice that there has been consistent irregularity in my airtel broadband bill. My plan is night time unlimited – 798 under which I have to unlimited download from 10 pm to 6 am. The trouble started with bill no[protected]bill date 27th july) in which I was overcharged for the date 24/07/10. You see the details in the screenshot below For the above issue I raised a ticket and I was told by Airtel billing department that the charges have been reverted back and it will be reflected in next bill. However to my surprise the same was not done in next bill (bill number –[protected], bill date – 07/09/10) and I was again over charged for the date of 23/08/10 and 24/08/10 . . You see the details in the screenshot below For the above issue also I raised a complaint and got adjustment of 530 by airtel billing department. However I do not agree with the adjustment given. As any reasonable person will agree that I simply cannot download 4.7GB in two hours with a download speed of 60-70kbps. I have been charged for night also which is not correct. Also I was told by Airtel billing dept that I won’t be charged late fee but still I have been charged for that. And to my biggest surprise I got 15,383.32 for the month of September (bill no[protected] The details you can see below. All the above cases are simply logically impossible. On top of that I ve been charged late fee. I have become frustrated with Airtel billing department. My connection has also been disconnected. Please take care of the following points: 1) Resolution of issues for the month of july,august and September. 2) Removal of late fees since I have been paying just amount monthly 3) Removal of service taxes charged on overcharged amount. 4) Prevention of such issues in future. Needless to say that I write to you with great hope. However If resolution of issue is not done quickly I might be forced to take further steps. Despite assurances from Airtel Customer Service Team my issue has still not be resolved yet and now some lawyer from Delhi is threatning me to settle the issue or a case will be filed against me!
I did get many calls for settlement. I have been charged seventeen thousand where as the valid charges are roughly 2000 !!
The strange thing is nobody is ready to discuss the charges with me. Nobody is ready to listen on which days i have been charges extra. I just get a mechanical reply that such and such amount has been finalised, thats it!!
I will upload the bill soon so that everybody can see the absurdity with which I am being overcharged.

Airtel Broadband — Bill overcharge
My normal Airtel bill amount was 992, this month they have changed the plan with out any information and charged me 1202. When i called the customer care i got a very bad response from them and finally they disconnected the call.Landline number :[protected]
