[Resolved]  Airtel — Airtel Customer care sucks

I have lost my airtel prepaid number. when i lost it, its balance was 381/-(INR).I complained to airtel customer care immediately after loosing it. Guy over phone told me, sir your Sim will be blocked within 4hrs. but i tried my phone after 24hrs, by that time my sim was activate, and person who was using it, kept doing the calls. i asked them who will be responsible if my number is misused then they told we do not know sir. Go to the airtel office and get one duplicate sim, then only your number will be disconnected.. i did the same, but at airtel office (lajpat nagar). first of all they don't have manners to talk. they treat customers as "Dog". and they told we don't have duplicate sim, come after 2 days. so even after 24hrs, they were not able to block my Sim. and they are not ready to help u for anything. Now after 3 days i got duplicate sim, but its been 24hrs, i have taken the Sim, and yet its not activated. so airtel services seems to be very poor these days. As i am using this airtel number from past two years, i am v much hurtled with airtel services. i suggest to everyone. please avoid airtel connections, and i[censored] wanna take, then forget that you will get any help from airtel customer care.

Airtel customer care sucks! I have complained to them about the bad connectivity for our cell phones in our locality on 06/01/09 at 15.44 hours and the reference # given was[protected]. They promised to come back to me two days later and today is the 13th day of February, and they are yet to respond. I have messaged them many number of times about my interest in their broadband connection and they promptly call back to say "we shall get back to you within 48 hours", and that is the end of the story. This has been happening for close to a year now and although we have their famous "blue boxes" in our locality, there is no connection given. They are more like show pieces now to decorate our streets. Either they tell us that they are not able to upgrade the connectivity or give broadband connection and we shall take our accounts to some other service provider who is more effiecient in this area rather than beat about the bush all the time. Will someone up there listen!

but i have a problem now . Yesterday i subscribe ISD pack of 225Rs. at my number.
by using isd pack 225 we can call anywhere in world.now i am able to call suadi arab but ican'nt call
brunei darussalam (near singapore) at number[protected].
i talk to customer care number, but they did'nt provide me suitable answer.
somebody told me u can call only suadi, not in singapore, somebody told me this should be vcc card.
this is vcc card or not, ido'nt know.
plzzzzzzzzz tell me about this problem.

i wanna say that i have done complaint that i want to disconnect my net connection but by your side no action performed.Then i m not responsible, bcoz tommorrow i have given complaint that i wamnt to disconnect net due to exam date.plz i m requesting.i will not payment of next month.

i didn't get any information about contest for hunk on airtel vas pack
I have been using a postpaid connection of Airtel (CUG connection) for the past 5 years.

My problems started when I shifted my house 3 months ago. I called up customer care and informed them about billing address change. they noted down my address and said everything is ok. The next month I received my bill to the new address and everything seemed to be fine.

However the following month I did not receive any paper bill. I then called up customer care and asked for a bill. They send me an e-bill and a paper bill. From the e-bill I found that the billing address had reverted back to the old address!! So the reason I did not receive the bill in the first place was because it had been sent to the wrong address.

I called up customer care again to inform them of this problem on their part. They registered a complaint for change of address which was stupid on their part. After that I received around 6-7 sms from airtel about this address change and 4-5 different persons called regarding the same. Each time I contact customer care or they contact me, I talk to a new person so I had to explain the situation every time. This was really frustrating.

After a couple of weeks, an executive from airtel called me and said he will come to my house to collect an address verification proof. He did not turn up on time. He called and informed he will come later, but he never did. Exactly 1 week after this, I found out that my postpaid connection which I had been using has been disconnected. When i called up customer care, they said it has been disconnected because of address verification failure.

However, for the last 2 days my number has been disconnected. When I checked with customer care, they said my address verification has failed and my number has been temporarily disconnected. It is not fair on Airtel's part to suddenly disconnect the number without any intimation.

How can they screw up a simple address change request? Airtel customer care really sucks!
i have taken idea connection, i will lot of calls of advertisements while i am in urgent like driving to office and etcc..., can you please help in raising or putting this complaing to the forum.
