[Resolved]  Airtel — Airtel Pre-Paid [protected]

I am customer of Airtel since April 2004, mobile [protected]. I submitted all my documents (Passport Photograph, identify proof & address proof) along with completed Airtel mobile connection form to Airtel at the time of activation of my mobile number more than 4 years back. It was followed by verification by Airtel representative to ensure details submitted were correct. Around 18 months back (sometime in the year 2007) I received message from Airtel that I am suppose to re-submit my documents since the Airtel database was not showing it. I re-submitted all the documents with the Airtel Galleria DLF Phase 4 Gurgaon center. I dully completed the all the required documents required by the Airtel twice. I am residing at the same address when I took connect back in 2004 so there has been no change in any of my information per documents that I submitted with Airtel twice.


On 28th August, 2009 I again received a message from Airtel demanding for the required documents (Passport Photograph, identify proof & address proof) & my outgoing calls were barred. I went to Airtel, Galleria DLF Phase 4 Gurgaon Franchise & spoke to Airtel representative, Pramood. He checked my account & confirmed that my address & other piece of information were up-to-date in database but had no explanation of demanding the documents again.

I have written email to Airtel Nordal Officer & Appellate Team, I told them that I am open to submitt my documents again but I should receive acknowledgement from Airtel that they have received all documents so that I am not harrassed again. But they are denying acknowledgement & also mentioned that Airtel can demand documents again anytime even though customer submitted them at time of activation, this is ridiculous.

Would appreciate if you could look into the matter immediately as my out going calls are currently barrred.
