[Resolved] Airtel — Illegal charges by Airtel [[protected]] Bangalore | |
Dear Consumers, I have a Post paid connection [protected] (Bangalore), Airtel is charging unnecessary charges as Value added Services like Games Downloades, WAP, etc., As i aware that Airtel is involved in such illegal charges, i will not use any of these Value added services. But, Airtel is claiming that i have downloaded Games and used WAP. My First question is how Airtel is enabled these features without my written permission. I want to take Airtel to Consumer Court and punish these people for unneccessary charges. Dear so called Airtel Customer Service Team,
I received a call from Airtel corporate office [[protected]] and instead of answering to my question properly he is offering Rs.500 waive off (Dear Airtel We are not Beggers). This is not my problem alone. remember, it is all new customers problem...
If anybody is there in Airtel office reply to these queries..
1) Who told you to enable Airtel Live and WAP feature as default feauture... ? [i Think this feature is
there to Suck CUSTOMERS]
Its against TRAI Rules, you can't enable any chargeble value added service without customer
consent.
2) Downloading feature is a chargeble Value Address Service or not ...?
Atleast this time expecting a proper reply...?

It appears that overcharging consumers has become a norm with Bharti Airtel . My GPRS usage charges has been very nominal. This month it has come Rs. 3634 and is itemised under WAP_ALL. I have approached Cusromer care Executives in Calcutta as also Nodal Officer of Airtel about the details . They only say it is loaded thru my mobile and that is all they can say and no other information can be given. . It is surprising that between 23rd of sept and 8th of october 2010 i.e continuously for 16 days every few minute the Airtel live/ WAP_ALL has been activated . I think a person with a hole in head will do that unless it is being misused by hacking the account. In that case it is a security breach at service providers end and the customer is not bound to pay. I being one of the first client of Airtel ( since 1995 ) do not accept this attitude of Bharti Airtel and advise them to resolve this and take measure to avoid such misuse in future to remain in business.

I want to know what your team is working on the issue to resolve the issue.
I think Airtel is not willing to resolve the issue.
Atleast let me know your Airtel Karnataka Circle Address and the contact person name. My advocate will sent to you a notice, we will discuss the issue in Consumer court only.
