[Resolved]  Airtel — I got frustrated with AIRTEL

I had very weird experience with AIRTEL. I took AIRTEL Landline with Broadband connection on 23rd April, 2007 when an AIRTEL representative offered me the connection. I paid Rs. 850/- (CA/REC No. 116256, SEF No. 155520, Dated: 23/04/07) as initial deposit for “Super Three” scheme (as told by the executive). The landline phone was installed at my residence. However, the modem was not installed as I did not own a computer during that time. So far, the story was good.

On one sudden day, I found my landline connection to be dead. It happened before my billing date without informing me. I did not receive any telephone bill from the company.

I paid Rs. 616/- (REC No. 194638) as a billing amount on 8th July 2007 (My connection is still dead).

I shifted to a new place and request for shifting of the connection. The reference number for the request is 55330, dated: 14/07/2007. The new place is around within 200 m from the place where I used to stay before. I got a call from AIRTEL Sector-57, NOIDA office. They informed me that shifting of the connection would not be possible owing to technical issues.

I had to switch to a different service provider which cost me another initial deposit.

I got a call again from AIRTEL Sector-57, NOIDA office asking me to pay Rs. 100/- so that they can close the chapter with me. So, I paid the amount to an AIRTEL executive (REC No. 473365, Dated 26/08/07).

On 8th March, 2008, I got a call from an advocate appointed by AIRTEL who was threatening me for a court case under Section 420 & 421 of IPC. The advocate suggested me to pay Rs 2300/- before 2:00 PM on the same day in order to avoid the court case. He also threatened me of arrest warrant. I rushed to the AIRTEL customer office at Sector-18, Noida and communicated orally the message of the advocate to the Landline/Broadband service executive. I also communicated all the transaction details with the references and the arguments. I pleaded him for sorting out the issue as I was over occupied with other tasks. He referred me to Sector-57 office which was far away from that place. I drove to Sector-57 office in spite of the work in hand. I was made waited there, and finally the executive taking care of all the court cases (as I was told by the other executives) informed me orally that the company will file the court case if I don’t pay the amount.

With this kind of attitude of the AIRTEL, I am feeling mentally harassed. It is even adversely affecting my job profile and personal life. I feel difficulties in concentrating while at work. It is very shameful for an honest and responsible citizen to hear this kind of allegation and threat from an advocate even when he is not guilty. AIRTEL is responsible for this. I am frustrated with AIRTEL’s customer service.

i never get network on Airtel...

i've been using the services since 3-4 years but from the past year the services are worst...
Exact same stuff happenned with me. I cancelled my conneciton because of moving to another city. But i kept getting calls everyday for the next month or with an airtel call centre guy pitching for a new plan. I told him that i have shifted so please stop my connection. I cleared all bills till this point of time. Then suddnely after a month i get a call from an airtel advocated going to file a court case against me. I had to pay Rs 1500 for the same. I am not sure if they are actually going to court or just threatening people, but in any case this behaviuor is extremely irresponsible and deplorable.
When you say you don't like AIRTEL, why do you keep using same. To punish these guys, best thing to stop using thier connectin immediately and strongly suggest all the people you know to stop using too.

This will make them learn lession one day!

Most frustrated mobility services ofcourse with less botheration about the clients complaints. it's almost a month or two n the higher official guys are dumber they don't care about my complains.

i have airtel's unlimited braodband services.

my internet was not working from last few days.

i complaint to the nearer airtel showroom about it.

but they did not respond.

when i called up the person who set the internet at my home, he spoke very rowdly with me.

when i told him that i was going to complain against him. he asked me to do so as fast as possible.

he aslo said that i could not do anything against him..

this is dusgusting...

i am a airtel customer from more than one year...

and when i am getting this kind of response, how can anyone be so cool about airtel's service.

my internet was not working from March 4. and i complained on the 5th.

from then i was just calling again and again...
they are not even responding properly..

i live in sector-12, noida

and the person who connected the internet at my home and talked rowdly is Umesh.

actually he has given his name and number, when i took wi-fi service.

i know the service can be interupted sometimes, but you should know how to talk to your customers.

the way that guy talk to me was rubbish..

i am just feeling like ...


i am not gona take airtel's service anymore..

and i would never suggest any of my friend to do this...
I also experienced the drop in their customer services. It seems that Airtel cares less for their existing customers. Very sad and frustrating.
Their staff is rude and for one querry if you dial twice you get two different answer, moreover both the answer may be wrong!!! You can't complain about them, at best you can ask their customer executive to connect you to their senior. Either they will disconnect or you will get the same kind of response from their senior. I searched their website but didn't get any place where I can complain. Search result for the word "Complain" results in zero. I wish I can write the same thing to sunil mittal.
I hate this and feel that I cann't do anything as I am using the same number for few years now.
By the way I am feeling better after writing this :-)
Am facing the same problem, and in a dilemma to disconnect Airtel or not. Very bad service and they have an arrogant attitude. This is found only in the northern part of India, especially in Noida. Airtel Delhi seems to be friendly and have a good service,

You should have and know the right string to pull such people down. Play smart and loss nothing with them. Make them lose.

Airtel is a brand... here employees are like Babu's who dont want to move their a bit also.. . Pathetic service. lethargic attitude..Worst customer service.. It all happened when I ignored, these already posted comments and went for an IPTV connection.3 months later I requested them to shift my connection to other address in Noida ..they said it will happen in just 3 working days.. it took 14 days and still my connection has not been activated.. I called customer care 8 times and everytime i was told that there is no request as such on their system.. Guys never believe Airtel employees..and never go for BHARTI AIRTEL...It is a no more.. It is dead.. If ignore this comment some days later you will be also writing such comment..

So avoid it..coz precaution is better than the cure..
Please file a complaint with Consumer disputes redressal commission

here this people . It took them 8 years to activate my International Roaming. After constant fighting and verbal grinding they activated it !!! Now i took 3G services They send me a bill of 9000 for 112 MB !!! . WHen u call for clarifications, they talk like we re begging them. Ive abused them enuff. Lets see. If they dont wise up - i'll sue them :) ALl of you can join in the fight :) These guys ...screwed up

Sorry to say that i'm ur regular customer.i am not able to use your
any service(telephone and broadband connection), since end of Jan.2011
In this connection I have done lot of complaints to customer care by cellphone
and others ..but till date i not found any satisfactory response from you.
Some calls received from your side they said that" the some disputes and issues
are with "B.S.E.S." and lot of customers in your old Delhi area
are suffering with the same problem and trying to solve the same on top level
when it will be sort out then they will inform you accordingly and feel sorry
for inconvenience and also assured me for that period no any bill will be
charged, but till date this issue not solved by you and shocked to hear your
billing dept.that your bill is due for Rs 2109/- . As informed you so may times
and last bill in Feb.already paid without use your service.

You are requested to see the matter and reply me immediately
