Airtel — Excess and unreasonable charges, activation/renewation of value added services without confirmation

Respected Sirs,

On[protected] I received a message from AIRTEL that my "Hello Tunes" has been renewed for further 90 days though my Hello Tune is not working since last 25 days. In fact I didn't call them and also not received any confirmation call for renewation of Hello Tunes for any such aforesaid period. On getting such a message, I immediately called 121 (i.e. the Customer Care Dept. of Airtel) for explanation for this along with complaint of other excess billing charges, the Executive named "Siddharth" had given a number[protected] for de-activation of this service. When I called this number, there was a voice-mail as "this number is not valid, please check the number and dial again". Then again I called 121 and told the Executive about this problem and he replied me that the system is in up-gradation mode, hence he is unable to proceed further and asked me to call up within 1/2 hour. After 1/2 hour when I called them and asked them to de-activate my Hello Tune, they again gave the same number[protected] and along with this they promised me that I will get a call-back from Airtel by giving a Request Reference No.[protected],[protected] and they assured me that I will get a call-back service within 4 hours. But till today (i.e.[protected] at around 12 noon I did not receive any call-back, hence I called them again asked for the resolution for my complaint/request. Now they are taking the stand that "you will receive the call-back service and the resolution within 24 hours or if you want immediate resolution, call [protected]".

Now when I called this ([protected]) number, the Executive has told me that my complaint/request would get resolved and asked me that if I have any further/more complaints. Then I further made a request for call back service from Airtel regarding billing issues as my billing issue has not got resolved. But the Executive talked to me very rudely and repeatedly asked for what purpose I want call-back service. I repeatedly told her that this is all about billing issue, but she didn't try to understand. Now I am feeling like a mentally harassed person as I was repeatedly calling to the various numbers of the Customer Care of Airtel, but neither getting the proper person to understand my problem nor the problem is getting resolved. This type of mental agony I am facing every month and now I want to change my number, but as there is no number portability facility, I could not do the same. Had there any authority to regulate this type of corrupt and irresponsible service providers and to help us (common people) to get a good customer services ?

Please help me out to get good, justified, satisfactory and proper services from these Service Providers much less AIRTEL.
