[Resolved] Airtel — False Rates on Airtel Rate Cutter | |||
Hi all.., *****Airtel's False rates on Ratecutter packages. and Worst treatment..****** I went to one of the Regular Agencies where i top up my Airtel account. I have had to call dubai very frequently , that i enquired about Ratecutter package. The Airtel Leaflet (authorized) showed 1.2 paise/sec for a 14 rs/- package. I wondered that's a good offer comparing to older packages which i used for 44 rs/- for international calls. I topped up by 350/ rs for full talktime offer. Unfortunately for me all my money has gone . When enquired the agent had no clue. and asked me to enquire with the customer services. The worst ever treatment is I was treated like an illiterate on enquiry. They asked how on earth will you get 1.2p /sec for dubai calls. it's 12 paise they said. I told them , then why have you given it as 1.2p/sec. They said..even if its given like that, i should have had used my brain., while even local calls doesn't come in that rates. I asked them the way to lodge a complaint. They gave me a nodal office number..The guy who answered my Query was decent and asked me how much did i top up and i would be given refund, if i can send a scan copy of the leaflet in the mail. and Asked me not to go for consumer court and they would sort this out with refund, and correct their mistakes. On sending the below mail....They called me after 2 days.. and said that They would refund me 14 + 14 = 28 Rs/- , The rate cutter amount. I was shocked and asked them why then i will spend 20 bugs on scanning your poster. They said they'll escalate this and let me know if i recieve anything more.. I wonder how this kind of treatment is given to a learned customer like me.. I terribly felt embarrased, cheated, and fooled , and thought i should have gone for consumer court instead. I lodge this as a complaint for the sake of those uneducated people in india and my state. I wouldn't spare anything more than this, as i lost trust on their action., and the way they try to fool us around. It makes us feel how cheap we are for them.., I am also attaching the Airtel Poster here..check those rates. Mail content: With Reference to our Telephonic Conversation on the complaint on airtel dubai ISD package. The package was wrongly given in your leaflet as 1.2 p/sec, believing this which i lost all my topup amount for last couple of months. On contacting the Airtel Customer services in 121, I was given sloppy and Disgusting answers and They treated worst like i am an illiterate. I Usually top up at your dealer's store near Golden Flats, Mugappair, Chennai - 600 037. Attached your leaflet scanned which also shows decimal values for other rate cutter package like US. Please check it. even Your Recent leaflet updated in January'12 also shows same figures.
