My 1st complaint made on 28th dec 2012 (this complaint almost solved)
My name is Cherian Eapen and my customer id is [protected] ,I am using Airtel Digital TV from last two years, my location is in Kerala ,Alleppy (dist) 3 months back I got an SMS from them that my plan is changing, I called customer care and ask for the same they said they will not change without asking me .
Before last recharge I confirm from them that they will not change my plan without asking me , but from today I got to know that my package tariff had changed from Rs 172 to 188 per month without my required channels . I ask on call center for this and found terrible response that Rs 172 plan is removed and I have to wait for one month to change to other plan, “I want to know that why they are not changing to lower plan once they are not confirming by the customer , why they are not providing to customer requirements when they change the plan by themselves and how they can change a plan once clients balance available for a plan.”
Last plan I was getting all Malayalam , Ten sports and CNBC tv18 with Rs 172 but now I have to pay Rs 188 and I am not getting those channels they given some other channels which I am not required . Now I have pay extra amount for these two channels
This is my 2nd complaint (10th sep 2013)
After few months again I was getting SMS regarding plan change and earlier plan is withdrawn by them without asking customers,
Finally 01 customer care staff given me “super idea” change my plan to A la carte that cost only 168/rs and I can select my own channels, many request I made for changing the same , finally after one week they change my plan to a la carte. From there started my problem i.e. I am not able to change any channels , more than 30 call I made and many e-mail sent to customer care finally i understand that they don’t have any “information” for above matter and they are unable to solve my complaint, daily I am getting SMS “your problem solved” I don’t know my what problem they solved.
Changing my plan to A la carte got affected to stop getting some channels.
Again I called customer care and I requested to change my A la carte to south pack ,
As per them now I am not able to go back to previous plan ie not available
Now I want to know from airtel , any option other than disconnecting the service
(To airtel people “provide some service to customer” if you are getting payment)
