[Resolved]  Airtel Digital TV — AREA MANGER of the Airtel had the authority to DO, SAY & WORK as he WANTS

Dearest Nodal,
I am using word dearest to you because I think that every time I send a complaint to you and you assure me that it will not repeat again but it happens . Before complaining this time I want to request you that please don’t assure me that you will take care of it, just mail me that you cannot help me out with that so I can at least make myself feel that company work like that only and I have to use AIRTEL DTH service like that only,so in the future if something happen I will not waste my time and money on going to all this process.
Now today is the last date of my three months free subscription, so I went to airtel office at lajpat nagar, Kanpur asked them to recharge my account for rupees 2050 so I can order for economy pack for 10 months ,but they said that they don’t have coupon for that .Then the office person called this senior and ask to help, this is the best part senior said i should take coupons from market and recharge my account, to confirm this conversation I also talked to that person whose name is Mr.Olvin his mobile number is [protected] , he told me the same words in first conversation with him then I asked the office person to give me contact number of area manager and his name too. Then I called him (Area Manager –Ritesh Gupta ,Mobile Number – [protected] ) I told him the full details and waited for his replies but it was too shocking to me that area manager of such a big company could also reply to me like this , best part of the complaint he said that I should go to any dealer and take recharge coupon after this reply I asked him that why airtel office can’t provide me coupon then first he was silent to it , I called him to know the reason but ..... After that I told him the case that happened to me last time, that I got a coupon from local dealer and it did not get recharged for a day over this he replied me “penny (100 Rs) doesn’t count and right now my main concern should be to recharge nothing else” ,then I said to him that this is not the way of working. I could not believe I am telling a company area manger the way of working and company makes these kind of persons area manager .After this he without saying anything put me on hold and put me on conference to Mr.Olvin and said to him that when they get the coupon they should call me and disconnected the phone.
After all this I immediately called Airtel DTH Customer Care timing was 5.11 pm .Miss Poonam took my call ,I told her the details she replied me that they couldn’t take complaints against AREA MANGER I asked her the reason ,she replied nothing and asked me to talk to her senior named Mr. Vinod . He also replied that he couldn’t help me in this.
Might be Area Manager of the Airtel had the authority to do, say & work as he WANTS.
Hope that company should at least give professional development course to these kind of Area Managers or please as a dedicated customer of Airtel company I will say to Nodal Officer not to make such promises to customers which can’t be fulfilled .

Dear Nodal,

I have taken airtel digital TV on 7th July 2009 from that day everyday there is a new problem with my connection. At the time of installation the person meltreated, so I launched a complaint against him the complaint number is 826318 after this two person from Kanpur airtel office called Mr.Manjeet when I was talking to him ,all of sudden he gave the phone to Mr.Abhishek and left . Mr.Manjeet and Mr.Abhishek seem to be new to this professional world or they don’t know how to talk to a customer. Now the big fish to be caught now is on 10th July 2009 I brought the recharge coupon from a shop near to my place name KINESCOPE SALES of 100 Rs. The coupon Sr No. Is [protected] tried to recharge my account but did not get it out done so I called customer care they told me that this Sr. No. Is not registered in the company account and told me exchange this card from the shopkeeper .When i went to him he called his distributor and told the case to him the reply was shocking to me the distributor told us that the card will be going to register till 10 pm in the company so after that I should recharge my account then it will work .Now few question arises:

•Is the distributor is printing the recharge coupon in his house?

•If the recharge coupon is issued from the company then why it is not in the company’s account?

•Is this the ethics and policy of the company?

•Is this a stealing from customer’s pocket?

•Is the two senior staff of the company behaving like this justified?

I think as a customer of the company I have the right to know the answer to all these questions. For me now it’s not just a question of 100 Rs or stealing from my pocket.
Now it’s the question of ETHICS and POLICY of the company.

Hope that all my issues will be solved ASAP and action will be taken against all of the people involved in all the issues or otherwise I have to knock the door of consumer form.

I think so that better you read my mail once again then reply to it or it just common reply given to all customer . I had no problem with customer care executives they at least help me out and i have taken coupon on 10.07.09 that recharge on 12.07.09 and I mailed you on 11.07.09 and my question had not been answer till yet. So I repeat it again:

I am also experiencing the same from AIrtel Customer Care... They are cheating with customers in all the ways.. Wrong and False commitments... For each customer request they replies that we can not do as per the process.


1. I requested them to me my recorded calls with customer care... Airtel Customer care escalation team "Mr. Sohaib Pathan" ( from indore unit) denied not in process "Recordings could not be given to customer"

I even feel that they are sharing their false name and location with customers .

2. He denied to give the same reply in written through his official email ID... Could not given as per process.

3. He denied to give his employee ID No. his official email ID ... he said his employee ID and his airtel email ID is his personal details and could not share as per process...

4. He denied form giving his senior name, official email ID... ... he said that could not be given as per process.

5. He denied from giving the airtel higher authorities, zonal heads official contact details (Name and email IDs) ... he said that could not be given as per process.

6. I requested to share the recording of today's communication so that I could fwd this to higher authorities to show how customer care is responding to customer.

7. Only one thing he could do that he can give me email ID "[protected]@in.airtel.com" to send the issue and nothing he could do..

This is the level of Airtel DTH escalation team ... Pathetic experience.


At last he said that they will mail the things on my email ID within 4 hours.

Don't Buy and Don't use the Airtel DTH as you don't know when they make your pleasure in your miseries.

Soon my post will be on facebook and request you all also share your same pathetic experience.

i am your digital tv (dth) customer. I took connection in gujarath.
Now i am living in andhra pradesh since may 2014. At that time i updated my address and get connected my disconnected airtel digital tv connection from gujarath. And also in the later stage i changed the digital top box to hd even at that time i up dated my address. I requested for soouth packs the said it is not possible so i continued in roi.
Now again i requested for south max pack with all hd but they says it is not possible because my connection set top box is from gujarath.
I don't know exactly what is happening. What ever the discussions i am making with cc representative is going in vanes. I don't know what is the procedure of attending the customer complaint and attending to that and involvement of senior people for not resolving the pending issues. Hope i might have spent rs 100/- for talking to your ccc.
Hope now my complaint is resolved and justice is done for my unnecessary payments to watch even some of telugu channels as top up.
Please resolve my issue at the earliest and please make airtel digital as national set up dont keep it in piecesand suffer customers.
I was one of the well wisher customer of Airtel. You can just check my earlier accounts, I use to recharge for 6 months or more at a time. As I use to received repeatedly regarding the up-gradation of Set up box to HD+, I said yes come and change the set up box. What happen next after that is very disappointing. I got SMS stating that Gautom Sarker ([protected]/[protected]), Service engineer will be coming and replacing my set up box. What did he do? he came changed my set up box and took Rs.3000/- in the name of recharge for 6 months from my wife and left. But the fact was he didnt recharge for 6 months but did only for 1 month for Rs 300/-. When I call him the next month when our TV got discontinued, he said I am coming, I have to check the setup box and he did came then he said it will be done now for 6 months, along with that he very sadly told that he urgently needed Rs. 2000/- for setting up some connection in the nearby, which he promised to return back after two days. I felt that as he is from Airtel, I will give, so gave him the amount. But the tragedy was, I didnt recharge again, when I felt that I have been looted by him I complaint the matter to your customer care many times.

I am a Digital TV Customer and my connection ID is [protected]. On 26 Jun 2017 I made a call to your Customer Care and requested for additional multiple connections. I was explained the tariff and terms and conditions by your Executives. I requested them to install the HD Multiple connections. On 27 June 17 I received a SMS that it will be installed in the afternoon of same day itself. I received 4 calls assuring me of the prompt action but no body turned up. On 28 Jun also I received an SMS assuring me of prompt action but when I made a contact with the Technician ' SALIM ', I was told that it may take one or two days for installment I tried to your contact your customer care and requested 'Lady 'Operators' twice to allow me to speak to their Seniors but I was told that they are busy. Sir I want to raise a simple question about the promptness of your service. Are you not bothered at all for Customers precious time ? For two consecutive days I am waiting for your Staff to do the needful but in vain. I am your 17 years old faithful customer of 68 years age. Should I take up this matter with consumer Court? I want your sincere reply and compensation. Your simple flat reply will not be sufficient

Recharged Airtel digital tv for 5801 Rs which is infinity pack. Called customer care atleast 100 times, where they say complaint is raised but no action is taken. Its been 3 days since i am just trying to get it resolved. The customer care is so useless, they dont even understand the issue. They just want to end the call. The whole customer support is one whole bunch of inefficient people. I am sick and tired of this. I asked for a refund so that i can close the services with airtel but they say they cant. Please let me know how to file a case against them in consumer court.

Our Customer ID is [protected]. We have migrated to the new system proposed by TRAI and already selected the channels which we want to watch through our Airtel account Online. Our account is still not activated and we are neither able to watch any channel nor able to make selections from the TV screen. Do the needful at the earliest!!!
