i was a proud Airtel customer for the past 5 years, think now i got to change my mind set

This is regarding my DIGITAL TV CONNECTION,

ITS NOT WORKING FOR THE PAST THREE DAYS,

DAILY LOGGIN IN COMPLAINT IS MY DUTY..BUT GIVING NO RESPONSE IS AIRTELS DUTY

Dear Airtel,
my problem is that i have been suffring from airtel customer center when i want to talk with your (Airte) customer excutive than a ladie speaks out that in hindi language that '''''aap ane mob.se airtel type kare or use 121 pe bheje or aapka din mandalmaye ho''''''' but i want to talk with customer excutive MY AL FROENDZ CHAT is automaticaly activatd.i got the sms on 9-oct-2009,03:31pm that your AL FRIENDZ CHAT HAS BEEN RENEWD AND U HAVE BEEN CHARGED 30 RUPEES FOR 30 DAYS so and so. i got this sms 10 time now my airtel customer service means airtel customer center services are DEACTIVATED & i have been tolrating this kind of problem for last 2 months please AIRTEL do something for your CUSTOMER & i hope YOU ( AIRTEL) will give helo to me in prompt.

Hi

I have purchased Airtel Digital TV in July 2009. It has one year warranty and 6 months service warranty.

On 28-Feb-2010 all of sudden without any reason the SETTOP box of Airtel digital TV stopped functioning.

I lodged a complaint to Airtel Digital TV customer care Center.Complaint no:-2122896. They informed me that it will get resolved by Tuesday 2-March-2010. However they did not keep their word. On 2-March-2010 I once again called the Airtel Digital TV; instead of solving my problem they provided me new Complaint number:-2130428.

This is the efficiency of Airtel Digital TV; for single issue they raised two different complaint numbers.

In last 3 days almost called 10-15 times to these Customer Care Executives of Airtel Digital TV; I think Airtel has given special training to these executives that how to interact with customers in arrogant,irresponsible manner.

On 3rd March I got call from their technical engineer that he is visiting my place at 9:00 in the morning. From 9 to 10 am he didn't show his face so I went to office.By 10:20 I got call from their tech engg that as there is problem with SETTOP box and this need to be replaced and the charges for this are Rs.1100.

Then I called that tech engg's Senior Mr.Mushtak and again he behaved arrogantly with me; without checking the Warranty period he demanded Rs.1100 from me.

These guys actually did not checked the reason why SETTOP box is stopped working.Now he is telling that as the complaint falls under Warranty period he will replace the SETTOP box and now he is demanding Rs.100 to replace it.

In all this scenario their is no mistake by Mr.Gokul who is tech engineer.

So my question to honorable Nodal officer is that what about all the arrogant,insulting behavior from their customer care executives. How Airtel Digital TV is going to repay this to me.?

I did called at least 10-15 times per day in last 3 days how you are going to repay it to me?

You guys spoiled my 2 days of vacation how you are going to repay it to me?

Mine is the post paid connection after payment also I did not receive the service from Airtel Digital TV how you are going to repay it to me?

So this is ridicules service by Airtel Digital TV.

My humble request to all my friends that if you have Airtel Digital TV then please beware of this fraud and cheat company.

Airtel digital TV with Digital Picture Quality if you pay and Digital Sound quality with arrogant, insulting language when you call.
I am fully agree with you Amit. Now I also start awareness in my group about Airtel digital TV.
Airtel Services are known for bad customer services, I am facing problem with Airtel Mobile billing and now they have added another feather in there bad customer experience goal. Job well done Sunil Mittal. to pay their brand ambassador’s payments. Amit I think you should go to consumer court.

I had same problem from Airtel while using their prepaid mobile service.
They stopped my servise advising me o[censored]sing the number i had in name of some other guy(their own mistake).

When i complianed in customer care they said go to dealer, when i went to dealer he said talk to my airtel agent, then i decided to talk to their represetives physically on tilak road.

The most horrible reponse i got from their representives. They were busy talking to each other and ridiculing my compalint rather than solving it. If ever i would have recorded them on my mobile phone suni mittal would have surely fainted.

Amit please drag these guys to consumer court and i will fully add my support to your case.
Also now they are not re paying me the prepaid amout i had used for recharging my balance.
No wonder in the list of Stay Away on this web site Airtel is on Top Position

First of all thanks Amit to bring it in bigger audience, I am one of the scared Airtel customer.
I am using Airtel prepaid connection from last 5 yrs, its coregeous to stick with them for so long and for which i realy deserve brevary award.
As i m using this service from so long and so my mobile has been shared to many people; I can not discontinue Airtel service though I m willing to do it. Awaiting new technology where i can keep the same nuber but can swap the service provider.

Airtel has not very good customer relations as they do not have good technology as well. I stay in area where Airtel mobile network tower is placed on very next building to mine and even though i need to run out towrds window or on road to get the network connectivity.

I gave up complaining long ago due to arrogant behavior of there illeterate so called executives.

With such painfull uncountable experiences i will not dare to buy any other Airtel product.
I had the same experience with Airtel on my once taken Airtel Post paid mobile connection.. the customer care executive and the executive sitting in their branch office or site office (whatever you may call) were absolutely rude and not paying attention to customers regarding their concerns/ problems instead they were pretty busy with their own collegues rather than doing their well deserved job. Finally I had to shut-off my airtel post paid mobile connection.

I kinda raised my hands to not to go for any serrvices to Airtel anymore but unfortunately I again ended up airtel Digital TV and the history repeats again.

I had signal problem to my Airtel Digital TV setup box and after raising the call to Customer center they didn't doa thing alomost 5 days and i am with-out TV since last 5 days. I had called them upto 10-15 times and most of the times these so called Customer care executives are so rude they just hang-up your phone without even solving your query/issue.
Everytime a new excutive picks up the phone and issue description start all over again with a new complaint number.. (what happened to the previous number dudee ?? isn't that recoreed somewhere ?? isn't somewone working on that yet??) Very poor and sick response from Airtel Customer Care.

Airtel -- Wake-up or loose your all business in Communication / Entertainment industry.. there are a lot better names available with satisfactory Post sale service in the same area.. You were or had been a giant in history but now you are just en-cashing your past earned reputation. Make it better now.. act now or Never.. you are finish dude.

Airtel DTH — Irresponsible & very poor Service

I have made a complaint regarding HD set top box issue (video and audio problems) on 4th May 2011 to the call centre.They have given me request no.7601637 and told that this will be resolved within 48 hrs. Next day service engineer came to my house and he was not able to fix the problem expressing his inability to service HD STB. Finally he told me that STB needs to be changed and since he don't have stock right now, he will bring it teh next day. From then no-one ever came to my house and i have been keeping on calling call centre everyday asking them to resolve the issue as my STB was not totally working. Everytime i call they register a new complaint and say that it will be resolved within 12 hours. Series of Complaint no.'s registered by the me are as follows: 7601637,7728713,7768861,7890642,7920463. Till today(10 days passed by) nothing has been resolved and no one is bothered to provide proper serivce. Moreover i receive SMS's saying that your issue has been already resolved.
This is very irresponsible service being provided by Airtel DTH and especially when their personell don't know how to service HD STB's,i don't know why they are rolling out this product. Atleast now i request someone from airtel DTH management to look into this matter and send someone to fix my problem. I am seriously fed of with the very poor service of Airtel DTH
See my comments posted with the name apriyada, I am experiencing the same problem with DVR set top box. These guys are just irresponsible and they don't care. Regardless, they are getting the money. If you stop calling or change the service, they are not loosing anything because they will make sure, you don't get any money back which you have paid upfront.

Changing the ticket numbers every day is to only please their management that they are honouring the SLA. This is just below the belt.
I agree with your post. I am facing same issue. my Cost Id is - [protected]. My set top Box is faulty and I have registered the complain on 13 may 2011, 14 may 2011 and 15 may 2011.. all my complain is resolved using SMS and Nothing is reolved all the Time Air tel SMS me that "your Request is resolved If you are not satisfied Call on [protected]" When I dial [protected], I get answer that number Does not Existi.
Air Tel DTH have outsourced the service Desk services to Fraud Company and all customers are Strugling .

Dear Rakesh,
I have been waiting from 4th May 2011 onwards and has been continuously registering complaints with your call-centre that my HD-STB is not working. Till now no resolution has been worked upon and you are again asking me to connect to your call-centre again.
I am asking you to act immediately and replace my HD-STB. This is the only resolution for this issue and there is no complexity on this.
I don't understand why you are taking almost 3 weeks time to just replace a HD-STB.
If i would have taken a new connection you should have arranged the STB within 2 days of my purchase. Then why i have to wait for 3 weeks for the faulty STB to be replaced. Is it my fault to be a customer of Airtel DTH from the past 10months or so?

I am requesting you to ask your people to replace my HD-STB immediately without any further delay

Airtel DTH — Irresponsible Service

I have paid around Rs.4780 for my HD connection upgrade as well as for annual subscription. Airtel is poor in responding to this complaints for a long time.

On 13th March, 2012. I called the customer care service provider to ask for converting my SD DTH to HD DTH. After two or three days, I got a call from the customer care
inquiring about whether the HD is installed or not. Even on all the day I was so patience and I request me to provide the service. [ Request No[protected]]

I did the same on 17th March, 2012. [ Request No[protected]]

On 22nd March, I was supposed to react so horribly. [ Request No[protected]]

I called the customer care and asked what they can do for me.

First Mr. Anbarasab picked the call and he said , wait on the line Sir I will check the details. I was waiting for him to respond after 11 minutes he cut down the call.

Next I tried to call the customer care, Mr. Kumar picked up the call and responded to me. I requested him to connect with the manager, he put my call on hold for around 14 minutes. At last he told, they will call me after 1 hour. This entire team is managed by Ms.Lalitha.

This is not fair, as a customer I pay money why should I wait for your service for around 1 week. Even when I applied for HD intially they came and installed SD connection. Since I don't know about DTH I thought it is HD. Why are you all fooling us? If you are not responding to my email and if you are not able to clarify my doubts soon you will face a legal notice from my side.
