Airtel Digital TV — Unethical practices by Airtel Digital TV

Address:Bangalore, Karnataka

I went to Airtel TV only for CBeebies channel and few sports channels and i took economic sports package. Recently they changed their practices which I felt unethical business practice.
1. They gave a note in Cbeebies channel for a week saying Broadcaster stopped the channel in Asia and so this channel will not be avaible for view> We thought this message might be real. Now after a week, we came to know that all other guys are giving this channel without any issues (local cable company also giving this channel).
2. I was subscribed to Star Sports and ESPN as part of Economy Sports. They changed to Sony and Max sports and removed my channels. How can they remove? They say that they have sent SMS in this regard. I did called when I received SMS and they told they upgraded packagaes and I need to pay additional amount and they added // removed few channels.

I feel the above processes are unethical in terms of doing any business as these decisions were unilateral. If they want to upgrade, do it by new services. But not by troubling existing services.

Recently I re-charged, else I could have thougth of other options. I swear that I made a big mistake by going to Airtel

AIRTEL DIGITAL TV — Unethical methods

When my yearly subscription ended on 31st October 2010, I decided not to renew the services. But what followed afterwards was a complete harrassment with 4 SMS + 4 phone calls on a daily basis. I have lodeged two requests with call centre to stop this menace and also written three mails to the company directly. In this forum this is my third or fourth complaint in this forum but no action is being taken and in the meanwhile I have received more than 500 SMS + 800 Phone calls requesting for renewal of the connection.
