From R.Sriram,Plot17,1st flr.,2ndst., S B Nagar,Tm Voyal,chennai-600062. ph;[protected]/[protected] Sir, Ref; 1)Customer ID;[protected] 2)package ;south value sports of Rs.208/PM 3) Website ; www.airtel.com/digital. 1)A/C balance; I paid Rs.2506/-thro'internet for south value sports pakge. +45 days free on 12-07-12 towards annual subscription.I decided to disconnect on 20-08-12 &mailed to [protected]@in.airtel.com customer care to refund the balance amount but they replied me the a/c balance is only Rs.53/ &odd but 1 year i can see the selected pakge.This means in case of disconnection by the user in between either i 've to forego the entire amount or i should see the pakge & make use of the same which terms &conditions is neither available in the website nor in the customer relationship form.had such conditions been there in website i would n't 've opted to gofor annual subscription.This is totally unfair trade practice.The norms in this industry is to reckon based on burn-up rate otherwise called daily usage rate.The terms & conditions in the customer relation ship form also says like that.Further the terms &conditions in the relationship form is totally in favour of the company & the company's money is taken care of but customer's money &right are ditched. 2)Arbitary change of package; In the mean time 3/4 airtel reps contacted me & i had to "repeat my tales " to each &every one. If a single person handles the issue it is easier for them & for the customer too to get the problem fixed&solved.But here it is running around the periphery but no intention to solve the problem.So i told them in case my problem is not solved i will be compelled to take the issue to the consumer court even if it takes 2/3 years to get the verdict.Then they "devised a trick"& sent a SMS to me informing the change of package (to suit their terms)as per my request which in reality i didn't ask for.I never made any request either by SMS/by mail for a change of package.The changed package is south standard which bars me from viewing all 4 English news channels Timesnow,NDTV24x7,CNN IBN,&headlines to-day.This means that i will be denied viewing these English news channels for 1 full year as i paid for annual subscription. Hence i request this forum to take up this case with Airtel/digital TV to restore immediately to my selected south value sports plus pkge & secondly the a/c balance to be done on daily usage Was this information helpful? | |||

Till now(8.03PM) the package has not been restored to south value sports plus as promised. Instead
I am getting the same "repeated &hackneyed mails" not grasping the issue from ur customer care.
i regret to say no actions from ur end but only promises which u don't keep.
I am constrained to refer the matter to consumer court even if takes 2/3 years to get justice.
