[Resolved] Airtel DSL — Terrible Connection for the past 6 months | |||
I live in South Bangalore and have been facing regular drops in my connection for the past 6 months. Every time I place a complaint, an executive comes and tells me the same things that there is some copper issue in the line that is coming in to my building and would be taken care of by changing the copper cable. For the past 6 months they have been changing copper (or so they tell me) every time I make a complaint. I must have at least 15 Service Request numbers with me and still the same happens every alternate week! What kind of a joke is this? I am paying Rs1200 every month for this crap and I am helpless as I can't afford not being connected even a single day in order to switch to another provider. Airtel DSL in my area has to be the most terrible broadband connection I have every experienced. Shame on you. Was this information helpful? | |||

3 days since my last service request and when I call customer service, I get a response that you will get a confirmation message when the issue is resolved! that's extremely helpful! thanks!

4th day, i get the field engineers number from customer service. When I call the field engineer, he says that he doesn't have the work order.
I was out of town, only to come back and see that airtel service is still terrible. I had my connection drop every 5 minutes on the 5th of July, so I raised an SR informing that I have been repeatedly facing this issue and would like a permanent solution or will discontinue using Airtel. SR 48482158 was raised and I was given an assurance that the matter will be resolved once and for all. Like I had not hear that one before. The matter got resolved, Internet was fine on the 6th of July, today, 7th of July, its gone again. Completely gone, I guess that's what the customer service person meant by solving my problem permanently. I have raised SR 48604124 again, and I got an assurance yet again that this matter will be resolved once and for all.
I am really really frustrated now and am very disappointed at the kind of service I am getting for the money I am spending.

Airtel engineer did visit on Friday evening, made their checks and told me the line in the building is faulty and I should ask the building maintenance to get it fixed, not Airtel. Strangely, my Internet hasn't dropped or lost connection even once after that. Did the magical elves come and fixed my "faulty building lines?", I don't think so.
Ok my grievance is back again. This afternoon, my Internet went out, called customer service around 1pm, they said it would be taken care of by 6:00pm maximum time (SR[protected]. Until 6pm nobody called me and I still had no Internet so I called customer service again, they said it would take a maximum time o[censored]pto 8pm on 13th. Now I am supposed to not have broadband for 2 days, back to the stone age. Good job Airtel for sucking each time there is an issue.
