[Resolved]  Airtel / DTH — Setup Box repair or Replacement

MY AIRTEL DTH SET-TOP BOX STOPPED WORKING SUDDENLY. THE COMPLAINT LODGED WITH CUSTOMER CARE TO LOOK INTO THE PROBLEM. THE SERVICE ENGINEER FROM AIRTEL VISITED MY HOME AFTER 4 DAYS AND SUGGESTED TO BUY NEW ONE. HE MENTIONED CHARGES OF 700/- Rs WITH 6 MONTHS WARRANTY.

I WANT AIRTEL TO CLARIFY THE FOLLOWING STATEMENTS MADE BUY YOUR EMPLOYEES (CUSTOMER CARE/SERVICE ENGINEER/AREA MANAGER etc):

1. How does AIRTEL have the ownership of set-top box after charging the customer with full market value of set-top box?
2. Why AIRTEL does not take ownership of faulty set-top boxes and their maintenance?
3. Why AIRTEL supplying set-top boxes with 6 months warranty? Why customer forced to accept such vulnerable boxes?
4. What does AIRTEL do with the set-top boxes collected upon DTH disconnection?
5. If setup box belongs to Airtel, then setup box maintenance comes under airtel.

Please listen to recent call data on this customer ID for further clarification.

This is very very unfair business AIRTEL is doing with its customer. Please look into the issue and replace my money without any further delay.

The same issue with airtel.Highly dis satisfied with he service and product.A reminder was to why Jio is double in size as to airtel now.

Aug 30th engineer Yousef Ali came as palam vihar is looked after him.After installation we faced recording issue after this yousef Ali visited us thrice but the problem was unsolved.Again was also informed the setup box has to be changed.

Can't understand a good working box on shifting get spoilt and they demand you to take a new box of cost 750 (600 for box and 150 engineer visiting charges)

Even after 3 visit from yousef we decided to stay with the box we had meanwhile during this period 6 engineers visit us but none seem to have an answer some would close the case by seeing the TV for otp and run away and some didnt visit and closed it on call..

Sept 23th we loose the battle and go for a new box but this engineer asked for 150rs cash which we said no to.

Why shall we pay when after endless calls and recharges and 6 engineers visit this engineer ask for a pay?why?if this was resolved in start all the chaos could have been ignored.

I questioned the engineer if we pay all engineers for visit what is our benefits?

Airtel charges for everything and anything possible.

1.charge for box(I didnt receive the warrenty yet)
2.recording facility which was free is now charged
3.engineer to resolve an issue its charged.
4.reinstallation and wiring its charged (again we don't know the wire used)
