[Resolved]  Airtel — Harassed by Airtel

I am using Airtel Broadband/Landline against the number [protected] for more than 5 years. I recently changed my broadband plan which was supposed to be an Unlimited Plan, but my June bill which arrived charged me against a limited plan. I immediately brought this under the notice of Airtel but there was no action taken. Then again the July bill was charged against the wrong plan and in the meantime I and my family started receiving harassment and threatening calls that either we pay the incorrect amount or our connection will be terminated. I brought this to notice of Sr. Manager Customer service Mr. Ashish Sarin but his response was also not satisfactory. On 28th August 2010 my connection got terminated and on 30th august 2010 I received an e-bill in which waiver for 2 months is there. But again for last month I have been charged against the wrong plan.

Due to unavailability of Internet my father suffered losses in the Share Market on monday 30th August 2010. Also, I and my family have been under immense mental pressure due to harassment by Airtel and its employees which has affected my work at the workplace. They have harassed me while I was working at my workplace and have taken away my mental peace.

To whomsoever it may concern,
I write this email after being harassed by airtel employees for over a month. I requested for a change in my broadband plan against my landline number [protected] to an unlimited plan, but due to a complacent employee of airtel the plan that was set at airtel's end was a limited one. As a result when I received the bill in june the amount that was charged was incorrect. I repeatedly talked to your so-called customer CARE (read it customer harassment) officers and they assured me that the charges have been waved off. Mr Shyam Kumar, an empolyee of yours confirmed this to me with the complaint number : 1127727 and assured me that all the adjustments will be made in the next bill. After that no bill came to me. I requested for another bill and the request number for that is[protected]. Since then I daily receive a harassment call, telling me that if I do not pay my bill my account will be discontinued and my connection will be disconnected.
Today I have received an ebill, which does not have any adjustments and moreover even this month the charges have been made against a limited plan. If this is the what airtel boasts off, then you guys are a big liar. Never in my life I have been harassed so much by any company and all this private companies are better is a fluke. I still have my MTNL connection and there has not been any problem with it till now. I believe taking up an airtel connection was a big mistake and I myself will soon rectify it.

This is the second time I am writing here in 3 months and still my case is not resolved. Forget about being resolved, I and my family are harassed and mentally tortured daily by Airtel employees.

The original problem was that my broadband bill for the month of June was charged against a limited plan whereas I subscribed for an unlimited plan. This was not resolved until late August and in the meantime I was harassed daily by Airtel employees and was given false promises by them. I can name a few: Mr. Shyam Kumar, Ms. Namrata and Mr. Nasir Ahmed. Also, the consumer forum directed this problem to Mr. Ashish.Sarin who has also not been effective to resolve this. Again my July bill was also charged against the wrong plan.

In the late august when I was told that my bill has been rectified for both the months, I asked the airtel employee tot kindly send me the rectified bill and I will make the payment, but due to the inefficient employees and procedures of airtel I did not receive any bill and today my landline and broadband for the number [protected] have been disconnected. I seriously want to take up this misbehavior, harassment and torture by Airtel and its employees in the court of law and I am writing a separate written letter to airtel so that I have a proof (since these guys are so unprofessional and unethical they will definitely delete the emails).
