[Resolved]  Airtel — EXCESS BILLING FOR MOBILE INTERNET FACILITY

I am Airtel postpaid customer with account number as [protected].

Since July 2012, the bill amount suddenly increased from Rs.700 to 2500. On verification, I found the mobile internet is being fraudulently used. Every time, I receive the bill, I lodge a complaint and cancelled the mobile internet facility but within a day Airtel on their own reinstate without my concurrence. I disabled 3G facility as well as cellular data on my handset expecting on one could misuse the same. But to my surprise, the facility was being misused. From July to DEC, I paid the amount as Airtel shop, advised that they will investigate and refund the excess amount.

I lodged several complaints to appellate.[protected]@airtel,in but none of my complaints are responded with the exception of holding reply. I also lodged complaints over their 121 toll free line and every time, the responded confirmed having cancelled the internet facility and adding Rs.80 as one time charges. But to my surprise, the internet facility is again reinstated using a bulk order(as confirmed by Airtel employee).

For the last two months, I stopped paying the bill and Airtel without providing a response to my earlier complaints discontinued the services and started harassing me for the payment. Is there any way, I can drag them to a court. I am sure there may be hundreds of customer facing similar problems.

Please take up the matter directly with the company

Airtel Mobile — Excess Billing

Hi,

My telephone number was having 1000 (A-A) Local SMS free every month, and 200 Local SMS free every month (to other numbers).

However I have been offered a discount of only 407.50 on account of 1000 (A-A) local SMS for August bill, and 400.50 on account of the same for September bill. Should it not be 500/- discount (50ps per SMS) ?

Another problem I noticed is that SMS to Other numbers have been charged in the October bill, whereas I have 200 Local SMS free (for other numbers) option in my plan.

I was assured that Rs.600/- discount would be applicable every month for Local SMS on my plan, however I seem to have been duped.

I had also requested for AVS Service Deactivation, however it is still not deactivated and I was promised that Rs. 198 (2 months rental because I requested for the deactivation of Airtel ) will be reversed.

I tried opening several Service Request numbers with the Customer Support Center, details below:-

1. 19291492 ==> Raised on 14th November for Deactivation of AVS
2. 19601049 ==> Raised on 4th December 2008 for Network and Connectivity Issue.
3. 19609663 ==> Raised on 4th December 2008 for Billing queries(this is closed stating that my number!!)

Can you please help resolve these problems for me, at the earliest ?

Hi,

I am bearing the mobile number [protected] since 2005 on CUG.
I am regularly making payment every moth without fail, even paid last month(Jan 16th to Feb.17th bill amount). on 28th Feb.2009.
But ashtonishingly I am receiving the messages from your customer care centres(121) that your unbill amount exeeded Rs 5000.00, then you have barred out going fecility. since then my unbilling amount is iautomatically increasing indiscriminatlyaverage Rs.6000.00/day even if my out going is barred and it was Rs.29850.80 by 4th Mar.2009.and my incoming call fecility also barred from 3rd Mar.2009. I have been informing the customer care guys about my problem but they simply saying that I have to wait until the bill processed.
But I suffering a lot not to receive and making calls since 4th of this month.Since I am one of the importanat employee in my organization I am facing lot of problems and it is agreat loss to me and my organization. So Please look in to the matter and do the favour.
