[Resolved] Airtel — Faulty dongle with hardware problem | |
I purchased a 3G dongle on 10th June with a new sim card to use in my laptop after asking whether this will work in the location where I would like to use. I was informed that the dongle will work wherever airtel network is available. After trying for many days, still the signal strength is almost zero in that location. Technical service team asked me to check the sim in a mobile phone where I get almost full signal. I was told the dongle has hardware problem and I can get a replacement from the same place where I purchased ( Touch N Talk communications, Kammanahalli, Bangalore ). But I was informed they cannot do anything and asked me to go to another place where I was informed they cannot do anything as Huwai has not paid the dealer service money. Then again I spoke to customer service team today when I was informed my dongle is perfectly all right. I just don't understand how these companies work as now I am left with no choice. I did not expect this kind of problem with airtel company. For couple of rupees, such big companies avoid attending customers. They better be begging on streets instead of cheating innocent customers. At least there is no after sale service for this job! It is really pathetic situation as customers are taking for a ride.
