[Resolved] Airtel — Fixed line barred
I was using Airtel broadband with fixed line service at Mysore, Karnataka till August 2nd week. I had raised a request to transfer my broadband and fixed line connection to New Delhi as I was shifting there permanently. The connection was activated on 14th August and was working fine till September 1st when I found out that outgoing calls from my landline were barred. On inquiring as to the reason for this, I was told by Airtel customer care that there was outstanding amount to be paid on my previous (Karnataka) number. However, when I requested for a detailed bill, I was told that they were not able to pull the information as the account was suspended. In addition, even I am not able to login to airtel.in website with the login information of my previous account either. My question is how can I be expected to go and pay some arbitrary amount for which I have not even received a bill for? I never even received any communication stating that my landline connection would be barred for this. This amounts to denial of service, and I have to say I am extremely displeased by Airtel's pathetic service. In addition, on inquiring as to the amount owed, they stated an extremely exorbitant bill which is much higher than what I pay for even a month's service. Was this information helpful?
