[Resolved]  Airtel Fixed Line — Collection for unused service

I was using Airtel Fixed Line and Broadband connection for past 1 year at my residence which was rented.This years in August I shifted to a different location and asked Airtel to transfer the services. They said they dont provide service to the area where I shifted.Then I asked them to cancel the connection and to tell me the outstanding that I owe. They told me that the outstanding bill is for Rs 176 and I was asked to pay the bill. The representative also said that she'll not take the request for cancellation but she will change my plan to a different plan with 2 months rental waiver and after 2 months if Airtel will start providing service to this area then I will start getting the service.I said that in the meantime I will take a new connection from a different service provider so I dont need their services anymore.But the rep was adamant so I asked her to send an email concerning the same.I paid the bill for the outstanding amount on time and also called airtel to confirm that. They confirmed that they have received the payment.Now I am getting continuous calls to pay the remaining amount.And moreover, when I called cust service again, what the rep asked me is--- Is there no requirement of this service where I used to live before? Now isn't it a silly question? How the hell will I know, if there is any requirement for a connection there or not if I am no longer living there.This means that if the person who has taken the connection wants to discontinue with the services, they will force someone else to use it and if the other person denies, they will start charging the bill to the previous customer.This also means that all airtel wants is to keep on making money whether you use the service or not.I know many people at my office who have faced the same problem when they have asked to discontinue the services to airtel. AIRTEL SHOULD BE BARRED FROM PROVIDING SERVICES FOR FIXEDLINE.

me meenakshi singh wants to loadge complaint for airtel staff for poor services and behaviour.
so that i want to cancel my connection immediately.
the no of my fixed land line is[protected].
i have send in meerut office sadar ganj bazar for cancellation.
their they have refused to even take the application and didnot attend me.
very disgusting.
kindly take action asap.
