[Resolved]  Airtel — fraud call

Dear Sir Mam,

Today i recieved a call from Airtel Collection Office (Chandigarh) from no.[protected].They called me up on my mobile number [protected] and told me that i have to pay the amount of 12000 Rs for the number [protected]. They pronounced my name as Abdulla. I also told them that iam not Abdulla and my name is Abdul Qadir, but still they told me to pay the amount else i have to visit to court for settlement.

They also called up on my mothers no. [protected] for payment.

Request you to please check and revert as iam not the correct person to which Airtel is calling.

Also request you to please take the action on that Airtel person who called me & my mother and talked very rudely.

I would like to draw your attention regarding the fraud call which came to also my airtel number. It was from Dubai and they said they are from international office of AIRTEL. Their number was [protected] and they informed about a lottery which I won worth 10 lakhs.The person tried to ask me my PNB account number and further my address.It was really shocking for me when the customer care executive of AIRTEL told me that there is no such office of AIRTEL in Dubai.

first tell me ..is this consumercomplaints works well or just for fun blog. Pls do action.

The matter is , today i got a fraud call of winning 10 million 75K . The guy calling said tht he is from Airtel.

This is a serious concern for Bharti Airtel. I'am a airtel customer and i got a fake call about winning 25lacs. the fraud numbers are [protected] and [protected]
I'am doubtful if company itself is involved with it. It breaks all the security
issuses .

Such frauds should be beaten till they die

When I was in sleep Got a similar missed call on 6th Sept around 8.23 AM, from [protected] and I called back , I thought that is India number, that person who talks in hindi, i didn't know much hindi knowledge but I understood that only he said that you won 25 lakh lottery from Airtel for your special number, and he given a number ([protected], SANJAY VERMA, Senior Supervisor) asked me to call to him, what I understood is he didn't understand English, When I talking in English he cuts the phone.I didn't make any calls to that number, as I understand it's fake calls.
One request for Airtel Service is please disable the International out going service and activate when ever they want to call to international calls by the confirmation from your support team. we simply replied to them not even to see from which country the number is. actually I have seen the number from my mobile is like +9234...., I thought that it's somewhere from India, if out going call is failed I should know that number is other than India.
Thanks for your message to aware o[censored]S, and if possible stop us to go out going international call until we requested.

I received a call from [protected] saying that calling from airtel under lottery scheme you have won 10 lakhs and if want to claim that amount u need to go to SBI bank and collect it.i hang up the call knowing that it's fake. then i called to the Airtel Customer Care 121 and informed them about this, but things were taken lightly they said that you don't have to worry,etc.but things may get worse.i hope Airtel & the Government takes action against this. Airtel users please be careful.

I missed a call from - [protected] - I called back on the number, thinking I missed some important call.A man on the other side said that i have won a lottery worth INR 25 lacs...claiming this call was made from Bandra office in Mumbai.There must be number of spams going aroud like this. Why does Airtel not take any proper action against this?

Mobile networks limited the spam SMS by limiting the SMS up to 200/per day...
So, they will limit the calls to 2 calls/day to stop these kind of prank calls...

I received a call today morning informing me that I have won a lottery from Airtel worth 15,00,00,000 Rs.
Call was made from [protected] vijay kumar is what he said his name.
He asked me to call Mr surinder singh on [protected] Surinder singh asked me to make a payment to SBI account for 15,310 Rs and that he would transfer the cheque of Rs. 15,00,00,000

I know its fraud but in the name of Airtel. I have been getting these calls again and again.
He asked me to reach closest SBI branch and call him to take khatha no.
I called him after 30 min and asked him for account no. in which i need to transfer .

Please help to burst this scam and help those who might get trapped.

Today i got missed calls from no.[protected] and they told that i have won Rs 25 lacs and asked me to speak to their supervisor at this no.[protected].i disconnected afte some time but i was charged at 24 Rs/minute.he asked for details regarding my bank account. i hope airtel takes some action.

I am AMIT RANA, I got a call from +121 and said his name was 'ROYAL SAKSENA' fram customer care. He told "congratulations you won a price of 15, 00000 . 5 GULF companies had chosen your number and you have won. tomorrow I will call you and you have to give your account no."so next day he called morning 9:00 and took my account no. and after half an hour he said u have to deposite 15, 000 on this A/c No. ([protected]) the A/c holder name is prem chand and he is the manager of PNB...(two men spoke to me, there name is +121 > ROYAL SAKSENA, [protected] >PREM CHAND and FROM SAME NO. > SUNDER )

I got a missed call from[protected] and i called them back and a person told that he is calling from mumbai and that i have won a lottery of 25 lakhs. and gave another number [protected] to call the senior supervisor of the company, i think it is a fake call. how could i get when i havent even applied for a lottery! this kind of calls should be investigated and culprits caught.

I got a fraud call from +91-[protected], saying that you have won Rs 2lakhs and asked me to share a pre-paid(Airtel) number of my family, so that they can re-charge it with a talk time of 3000.

Please do something about these fraud calls and save people from falling into these traps.

I received a call from this no: [protected], claiming to give me 25 lakhs cash price. He knew I use an Airtel sim card and said he was Mr Rohit Verma, senior officer from Airtel. He wanted me to note down a number of some bank official of Delhi to claim the prize money. I see a lot of others have registered the same complaint. I request the consumer forum to take strict action.
