Airtel — harassment for bill already paid

The complaint is that I had a post paid connection of airtel, no- [protected]. In the later half of 2011, i received a huge bill from airtel. On talking to the customer sevice, I came to know that it was due to heavy internet use. The reason for so was discovered that since i had bought a new mobile, the mobile internet was on and I had no knowledge of it neither did the company bother to inform me about it. Then started the harassment. I got calls from customer service frequently asking me to pay the bill. My take was that since I have a broadband connection at home and office, i didn't have the need to use my mobile internet. I also asked them repetedly to expalin my call and internet usage so that we could arrive at a consensus.Everytime i was promised by the CC executive but it never happened. Each time a new person would call up, with me tiredly explaining the same thing over and over again. I never refused to pay but wanted proper explanation from the company's side. The company sent me a notice in Dec2011. Seeing that my plea was falling on deaf years and harassed very frequently for the payment, I agreed to pay. A collector was sent to my place and i paid rs3500/ as FULL AND FINAL SETTLEMENT. The bill no is 11665 on the bill book of Bharti crescent,1, nelson Mandela Road, Vasant kunj, Phase II,N. Delhi on 24/12/2011. I was told that my SIM would be cancelled and henceforth I would not be troubled. But that was hardly the case, the calls and the notice followed. The company has caused me a lot of harassment and embarrassment as i receive calls in the office too. The executives calling have been repeatedly told that I have done the full settlement, they say they will verify and then someone else gives a call after a few days.
