[Resolved]  Airtel India — Non return of refundable Security Deposit on Postpaid Connection

To whomsoever it may concern

I subscribed for a Airtel postpaid connection (Phone No. :[protected] in the month of January, 2008 from a authorised vendor of Airtel (Shop Name: Prime Telecom, 7 Bunglows, Versova, Mumbai.) and after taking the connection he asked me to submit Rs. 599/- (Rs. 500/- as a security deposit and Rs. 99/- for the activation charges). I have a paper reciept from the same vendor mentioning that I have deposited the money for the same. When I asked him that this security deposit of Rs. 500/- is refundable or not then the shop owner said that it will be returned in 40 days after you submit your connection or terminate your subscription. I have never been the defaulter in terms of my bill payment to Airtel and I have all the reciepts of the bill payment. Even, not on a single ocassion I have made any late bill payments to the company. I got my subscription terminated in the first week of September, 2008. And after waiting for more than 40 days, I have not, yet recieved my security deposit which was refundable. I enquired with a Airtel Relationship Centre, Chakala, Andheri (E), Mumbai. But, they are trying to escape by saying that the security deposit amount is not being shown in their client information records and when I produced the reciept (mentioning that I have deposited the security amount) they are saying that they cannot do anything and I have to negotiate with the vendor only. I cannot fight with the vendor because he is saying that he has passed on the information to his distributor as soon as he recieved money from me in January, 2008 and as of now, the distributor has closed down its operations. Therefore, I am submitting my complaint against Airtel for doing monetary fraud with me. Kindly look into the matter because at a personal level I can forget my Rs. 500/- amount but company is going to make big bucks by cheating 'n' number of people in the same way.

Airtel-postpaid connection — non-refund of security deposit

I have been an airtel customer for 6 years. Details of my mobile number:

However since i moved to another city, i had to disconnect my post-paid connection.Initially when i called up the customer care center and asked the procedures for disconnection. I was told by the lady that a request for disconnection can be made through the call center. I promptly put a disconnection request, but to my dismay i found bills still coming with the monthly rental. When I called up the customer center again, I was told that phone request for disconnection is not accepted and I need to go to certain centers in Bangalore for the same.We did that n the Cox town airtel center and I was promised that the refund will be given to me of my security deposit within 45 days. However it is past 60 days and I have not received my refund.I called up the customer center number 121 and they gave me another number [protected] which never goes to any voice operator.
I had sent a mail to the airtel nodal officer on may 12.No response from the, Then i called up the nodal officer after a week.She said that she would check the same and call me immdeiately with the detailed status. No calls from her as well. I feel airtel is a cheat.

Airtel-postpaid connection — Airtel charging for unwanted services and not ready to close it

Rakesh here, I have 3 airtel connections and for last 3 months, I have been receiving daily SMS from Airtel Masti package for which I have not signed up, airtel have been charging me on weekly basis for this unwanted service.

I have raised 10 complaints with Airtel customer executives for shutting of the unwanted service and to waive of the extra charged amount, all the Airtel executives said that the service would be closed in 24 hours, however I have been receiving SMS till date with extra charges piling up every week.

The customer care executive is ready to close the Airtel number but for some reason they are not ready to shut the unwanted service.

This is very ridiculous and frustrating, I have wasted lot of time speaking to the customer executive and I guess the only thing possible is closing the number.

If any one can please help me, I hate changing numbers

Airtel-postpaid connection — THREANING AND FAKE CALLS

I AM GETTING THREATNING CALLS RELATED TO MY OLD NUMBER[protected] FROM NUMBER “ [protected]”.

REASONS:

AUGUEST 07 : I CALLED CUSTOMER CARE BEFORE GOING TO SINGAPORE THAT I AM USING AIRTEL GPRS OF 499 WHEATHER I WILL BE CHARGED EXTRA MONEY IF I GO TO SINGAPORE .AIRTEL CUSTOMER CARE EXECUTIVE REPLIED “NO SIR SINCE YOU ARE USING AIRTEL UNLIMED GPRS PLAN SO NO CHARGES SHALL BE APPLICABLE TO YOU “ I WENT TO SINGAPORE ON 29TH AUGUST AND CAME BACK ON 3RD SEPTEMBER . I THIS 5 DAYS PERIOD BY BILL WAS RAISED TO 15000 AND IN WHICH RS 13000 IS DUE TO GPRS .

MY QUESTIONS :

1 Why I was misscomunicated about that there will be no GPRS charges .
2. When my Limit was Rs 3000 why was my phone not disconnected and allowed to reach bill of 15000 plus .


Still I have paid Rs 2300 in 1st week of September07 which was genuine .
Now I am getting harassment and threatening calls .Also fake calls are made to my relatives .

Kindly look in to this matter as this is really frustrating

Airtel Postpaid Connection — want security deposit

Hi

my wife was using airtel prepared connection and we received a lot of calls for convert this connection into postpaid, then we convert this connection into postpaid in month of February, and deposited 250 rs for security deposited. After this we start receiving a very huge bills with lots of charges when we went in customer care and asked them they said in next bill we deduct this amount, but they dint, at last we paid all charges and again convert this number into prepaid, in month of may. but dint receive our money in staring they said company will directly send a cheque but now they said its not a security deposit its staulation charge and we cant give this money back, and do what ever you want, i have a recipt of that amount, plz help.
