[Resolved] Airtel Postpaid — Ourgoing Barred for non payment of bills!
I got airtel postpaid connection on Feb 2009. Till now I have not received any bills either by softcopy or hard copy or not available in airtel.in site but they expect me to pay the bills to avoid barring of outgoing calls.
I lodged a complaint with airtel 121 and they told there is problem in their side with the billing. I have got many complaint number reference SMS's from them that they are working on the issue.
Still I get SMS's asking me to pay the bill even though airtel itself has not sent the bill.
Today my outgoing has been barred!!!
I had to call them and explain the whole thing happening for a month! They themselves should be able to understand my problem looking at the complaints I lodged with them before barring my outgoing calls!!
Moreover, they say that I have to pay fine for "Late payment" !!! When the mistake is 100% with airtel, why do I need to pay fine for Late Payment!!! They told me it would be reimbursed/discoutned in next billing cycle. Who knows if it will be reimbursed/discounted or not? First, why do they want to add "Late Payment" fine now and discount later when the problem is with them? They should not include that at all!
If I get that in my bill, I will go to the consumer forum!
