[Resolved] Airtel Postpaid Mobile Service — Airtel Fake billing for unused service | |
I have an airtel postpaid connection and two months back while i was sleeping i got nearly 30 messages saying thanks for downloading ........you have been charged..... like this. I have never used airtel live site in this connection and even i have unlimited gprs plan under my connection still they charged me 1200 rs for the service that i have never used those services, after that i asked them to disconnect my connection the very next day i got a call from there customercare, saying not to disconnect the connection for this reason as they will rectify that soon,but no such measure has been taken from their side. Even their nodal officer send me list of things downloaded,which i haven't .Even the same thing happend to another number but they have discounted that amount for that connection. Anyway i am not gonna pay for the unused service. so beware of them may be this is a new trick from airtels part to get revenue. So dont get cheated.......................................... Airtel — Overbilling of GPRS service - Postpaid user
Hi,I have been using the Airtel postpaid mobile connection ([protected]) since about more than 8 years.
On 4th Dec 2011, Airtel have activated the GPRS service of 200MB package on my mobile without my knowledge/confirmation.
As per the package, after one month of 200MB free, they have started charging the data from 4th Jan 2012 (10 paise per 10kb)
Once I got the bill on 21st Jan 2012, I shocked by seeing the bill of about Rs.1900+. Here they have charged me about Rs. 1300+ for 127MB of data.
Then I raised the complaint (no.[protected] to airtel regarding the reversal of the amount, which they have not agreed fully.
Point here is - Airtel has activated the GPRS service of 200MB package without my confirmation and they started charging for the data left and right. This is really cheating the customer. If they would have contacted me while activating then i would have opted for Rs. 98 package which gives 1GB of data free.(here i have just used 200MB + 127 MB = 327MB and they have charged so much..not at all acceptable..it really hurted the loyal customer of 8 yrs)
I have contacted all the level of customer care representatives- 3 levels - floral, nodel & appellate. The output is they feel that it is correct but they can provide me only 350/- waiver. This is not acceptable. This is injustice. Why i should pay where it has been charged incorrectly.
This is really cheating the customers!!!! Be customer centric to be success in the market....
