Airtel Prepaid Mobile Connection — NON-FUNCTIONAL SERVICE OF AIRTEL | |
Sir, My mobile No. is [protected] obtained in Delhi in 2003, with AIRTEL lifetime validity prepaid facility. Whenever I move out of Delhi, the OUTGOING SMS facility from my number stops working. I had complained to Airtel 121 on three seperate occasions and on each occasion, after 48 - 72 hours I received a confirmation from Airtel that this has been rectified. Hoowever, this has NOT been rectified. The 121 complaint system does not work from outstations unless I call the Delhi number, which is charged at STD rates. The option to speak to the Customer Care Officer does not come in the IVRS opening menu and one has to go through at least 6-8 menus till this happens. Thus I have spent over Rs. 200/- only on making fruitless conversation to Airtel representatives who keep on placing the call on hold for long durations. Finally the problem has NOT BEEN RECTIFIED. Where can one meet some representative of Airtel to have the problem sorted out? Was this information helpful? | |

Airtel — non functioning of airtel prepaid mobile
i had bought a pre paid airtel number [protected] 0n 21 dec 2010. however after 7 days the incoming and outgoing calls have been barred because my form and id proof has been misplaced and not reached the agency where it is required. i had also bought another airtel number on the same day, and all the forms and id proof for that have been verified and the mobile is working fine. how is it that one form reaches and the other doesnt. its been over 20 days now...42%

I HEREBY WANTS TO BRING THIS INCIDENT TO YOUR ATTENTION THAT ON 10 AUGUST 2010 I TRIED SO MANY TIMES TO SEND ONE O[censored]RGENT OFFICIAL MESSAGE TO MY COLLEGUES BUT INSPITE OF MANY ATTEMPTS IT WAS NOT THROUGH. THEN I CALLED UP AIRTEL CALL CENTER AND SPOKE TO ONE OF YOUR REPRESENTATIVES MR. PRADEEP AND INFORMED HIM ABOUT THIS INCIDENT. BUT HIS REPLY WAS `YOU CAN NOT SEND THIS MESSAGE NOW AS OUR SERVER ISS DOWN`. BUT WHEN I ASKED FOR HELP HE DENIED AND REQUESTED TO SEND THIS MESSAGE IN THE MORNING. WHEN I ASKED FOR ANY HELPLINE OR SPEAK TO HIS SUPERIOR. HE GAVE ME MR. VIKRANT PANDEY`S NUMBER.
I TRIED TO SEND THIS MESSAGE IN THE MORNING ALSO BUT WAS NOT THROUGH. IT WAS AN URGENT MESSAGE RELATED TO OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS. BUT WAS NOT DELIVERED TO MY COLLEGUES ON TIME AND I HAD TO FACE DEPARTMENTAL ACTION.
