[Resolved] Airtel — regarding undue charges levied | |||
I would like to introduce myself as Deepak G. Ojha. I am using Airtel postpaid services since 2 years. In month of December 2012 I had activated 3G services on Airtel under the plan ‘Rs.100 for 300mb’ which should be used within 1 month from the date of activation. I deactivated this service within 5 days and my total usage was 159mb. On receiving the bill for the month of December 2012 I observed that I have been charged Rs. 494.37 for 3G and 2G services usage, while i activated only 3G. Immediately on contacting Airtel customer care for this discrepancy in billing I was told that certain limit has been laid down for each day use and if its exceed that limit extra charge will be imposed. This thing has not been explained while activating . This indicates if customer pay for 300mb data and do not use full 300mb still Airtel will charge extra amount. This intricacy of the plan is never explained to customer while buying the plan. It is made to believe the plan is ‘Rs.100 for 300mb’ for the duration of 1 month. On repeated calls to customer care and written complaint of the same no one has cared to provide any satisfactory explanation for this discrepancy and after sometime they refused to accept the calls. Airtel — Extra Undue Charges
Airtel has levied undue charges in the last month's billing cycle of this mobile no. [protected] which is used by me.They have charged me a cumulative of Rs. 370 on 4th May 2011 itself on the basis of some usage of Value Added Services(VAS), the details of which have been included in the attachments(encircled with red). When asked on their customer care, they assured me that it must have been a billing error which will be rectified subsequently but no such corrections had been made in the bill.
I strongly deny any such usage of internet because my semester exams were going on from 2nd May to 6th May and I hardly used my mobile, may be for a few minutes but not for 70 continuous minutes as shown in the attached photo.
Please kindly look into the matter as soon as possible.
