Airtel — Regarding non-replacement of set top box | |||
I had purchased Airtel DTH on 4th July, 2009 (Customer ID- [protected]) . My set top box stopped working properly from 1 July 2010. I had approached the dealer stationed at Roorkee for its maintenance. But I could not get any help for many days. Since the warranty period limit was approaching near, I was extremely frustrated. I later called customer care service center on 5 July, 2010. But still I could not get any help. I again called on service center on 6th July.The problem is still not solved. One person had called me and informed me that I will have to pay Rs 500/- for replacement of DTH set top box and Rs 300/- for transfer. The Airtel DTH was installed by an airtel dealer. I feel cheated at this moment of time for none of my faults. Either Airtel should remove their dealers or they should take all of their jobs to their hands. Kindly replace or repair the Set Top Box as per warranty period specifications. Being a genuine and responsible consumer, I request you to solve my problem at the earliest.
