Airtel — Threatening for barring service
I took a Airtel corporate connection in Tamil nadu as moved to here and joined a firm here. Initially the executive told me for corporate connection there is no security deposit. I handed over all the documents and Company ID when i took the connection after few days, I got a call requesting to give a cheque for security otherwise the connection will be disconnected. I asked the cuse they are telling that as I am a bachelor. I handed over the cheque. Later I got another call that I need to pay 500 Rs to the airtel showroom to avoid disconnection. I was in office they are telling that I must pay the amount. So I need to take leave and search the places and pay the cash. So my kind advice is Please take care when taking airtel connection. Also the airtel should not do such things... Dear Sir

It is a fake call... plz alert...&Airtel costomer care executive told we can't help u...

I am using one mobile No [protected] from Airtel Company in prepaid sim since Year 2003. I use this mobile regular basis from last three months. Previous when the Lifetime Scheme are comes I take life time validity on this number with give Rs. 999/- to company, that time as per the terms & condition my mobile take a validity till life time period.
before three month I lost my GSM mobile & I give a complaint in Thana & reissue one fresh sim of this number with give all the formalities & charges, but due to non availability of GSM handset I never use this number since last three months & I again lost this sim also.
on 31 Jan 2010 I again visit in Airtel office & take again a fresh sim for the same number with give all the formalities & charges, that time I plan to purchase a new handset for this Sim, again due to some financial problems I was purchase New Handset on 20/02/2010 & insert the sim, this time a am very much surprise b'z when we call on this number msg comes "this number is not available"
After all I have a schedule of our business advertisement from 22/02/2010, so I visit Airtel office & give the complaint regarding my no is not working, they inform me your number is permanently disable we cannot do anything for it. I am very much surprised I request for continue my number but till date I am getting my number.
Sir this number is very much important for my business purpose & I am ready to do any formalities for take again this number, till this time this number not allotted to any other user. I also try to take this number from postpaid connection but it is not available.
So please help me I am very much problem due to this work. Please take a corrective action against
Airtel b'z they take 999/- Rs as life time Sim charges & not giving the services, also they not inform me by any sms or from Email regarding disconnection of the same. Last time when I got the new sim nobody not inform me about the disconnection of the same number.

my name is shohit.i am from punjab in district hoshiarpur.yesterday on 30 june i got a fake call on my airtel no. The fake call was from [protected] no. then i got it is call from pakistan.so i had not picked that call.t want to secure every obe by giving this information.don't pick any unknown no. call.like +92 code.

I got a call from number[protected] on 1st july 2010. the person named Sunder singh told me that he is calling from airtel and i had won a lottery of 25 lakhs. he told me to call at number [protected] and to talk to Akash Verma. When i told this to my husband he told me this is a pakistan number.
please register my complaint and take an action against it.

I am dinesh kumar using airtel number:[protected] and i am receving many calls by diffrent-2 numbers that i have got 10Laks of lottery on my number.So i want to know about it.The number by which i am receving call is: [protected]and they give another number for talk to the director of Airtel that is :[protected].
So please check it all & stop it.

Got a similar missed call on 29th nov '10 in the morning , from [protected]. and I called back, I thought that is India number, that person who talks in hindi, i didn't know much hindi knowledge but I understood that only he said that you won 25 lakh lottery from Airtel for your special number, and he given a number ([protected], RamSingh, Senior Supervisor) asked me to call to him, what I understood is he didn't understand English, When I talking in English he cuts the phone.I didn't make any calls to that number, as I understand it's fake calls.
One request for Airtel Service is please disable the International out going service and activate when ever they want to call to international calls by the confirmation from your support team. we simply replied to them not even to see from which country the number is. actually I have seen the number from my mobile is like +9234..., I thought that it's somewhere from India, if out going call is failed I should know that number is other than India.

Received a missed call from an unknown number which was [protected]. Did not realise that it was an outside country number and dialled back. The person was speaking with some wierd Punjabi accent and I could not understand anything. So I hung up.
Later when I checked realised it is a Pakistan code. I am quite offended because of the fact that airtel is leaking out customer numbers in this way to the outside sources. This needs to be stopped. I would request the authorities to do something about it.

Even my cousin is getting call from pakistan code number in early morning times. It can be dangerous or malicious and it needs to be stopped ASAP.
AirTel — fake calls on my airtel sim?????
sir,i have recd a call on 24/10/2011 from no [protected] .i tried checking up this code and the code correspond to pakistan in google. how come i am recieving a call ( although i did not recieve as i was sleeping) from a country which i do not know anyone remotely or is it a fake call like calls from uk regarding promotion n stuff. airtel better wake up or else you would sure find no takers if people keep getting unsolicited calls from countries with which we have no connection.
i have missed call from the no.[protected] at 21:52 dated 31/08/2012 . think of terrorist when it involve pakistan!

Airtel Mobile Services — Threatening, using illegal ways
This is in regard with the number which I had ([protected]) when I activated this no. my initial limit was Rs.500 it was increased to Rs.1000. whenever my billings used to get close to this limit before the billing cycle I used to get calls from your end and I always made my payments on time, gradually they increased my limit to Rs.4000 my bills used to range between Rs.2000 – Rs.3000 which can be checked with Airtel records too. One fine day I received a phone call from your Airtel my bill is Rs.6000 which I have to pay immediately else it will be barred when I indicated to the representative my limit is Rs.4000 how did it cross the limit and why no one informed me from your end which they did earlier the response was they will get back to me, I also requested for a detailed bill statement which I never got.Whenever I used to get a call from Airtel regarding my bill I asked the same questions about my limit, billing statement I never got an answer I hope all the calls are recorded. As a user I have the right to check my bills before paying and Airtel does have the option for complete billing statement, also I had problems related with the bills which I want to be cleared, instead Airtel is trying to use illegal ways they are calling my family, friends and are using abusive language and spreading false information about me. One of your employee name babu called my friend saying I have given her no. for reference and now it’s her responsibilities to give my contact details else face consequences as if I am an absconder trying to cheat. The interesting part is I never gave her no. for any reference. Mr. Babu has repeatedly contacted my family and friends and has threatened them. When they sent their recovery team to my residence I met them personally and clarified my stand they did say they will come with the details but they never came with any details you can also check my data I have always cleared my bills on time that is why my limit was increased. I am ready to pay the amount I have used before that I want Airtel to clarify
1> how did they allow me to cross my limit
2> why they never informed me about it
3> why they couldn’t send a detailed bill till date
I would request Airtel to stop all the illegal ways they are trying to use and follow proper procedures.
