[Resolved]  Airtel — Why Airtel DTH wants set top box returned?

We were using Airtel DTH since many days and stopped using it for some reason. Since then, we have received many calls from some number in Mumbai requesting to recharge. Until now, it is fine as every company can make some steps to enhance their sales. But, today morning we received a call from Mumbai landline and they informed us that, we will send our person and take back the set top box.

Cheat! Cheat! Cheat!

What the hell is this? We have paid for it and we are not obliged to continue service forever. We can stop service any time. Why Airtel wants the set top box back? They are requesting to recharge and start using services or return the device. When we pointed out to the fact that, we need our money. The amount is 1500/. They asked us to recharge first and then only money could be returned. We have been given a landline number from Mumbai and told that, confirm the recharge status before 1PM, otherwise they will send the person to collect instrument by evening.

Please stop this cheating and threatening. We will NOT recharge a single penny and we will NOT return the device, it’s ours. Else pay back our amount first and then only we will give it back.

airtel set up box — unnecessary charges taken by the co.

dear Sir/Mam,

i have purchased airtel set up box in the month of march. At the time of purchase dealer told me that month subscription will be done at the time of installation. but by default dealer filled form of 6 months subscription, though we opted for 2 months.
later on at the time of installation the airtel boys said ur's is 6 month subscription so u have to pay for tht only then it will start working.i informed customer care at the same time they said no u have to pay any how .again we paid the amount of 6 month to start it. but for tht no updation has been done on their system so it was stopped again for 4-5 days, we called them again they said u hav to pay some more money coz ur plan was for 6 month, i said i already talked regarding this in coustmer care they replied may be sir server was down at tht time i waited for 1 hour on the phone i called them 2-3 times a day but the same reply everyone given.after long discussion it got started. then again 3 days before connection gone a fine for rs190/- has been raised from airtel and they said ur 6 month subscription has been lapse because of plan change, is this fair ?on our part.i agree it lapse and fine charged but should they inform regarding hidden charges how will coustmer will come to know regarding. everytime waiting on phone for an hour then getting no reply is fair on our part though it was not at all our mistake since starting.plz help me coz i have already paid around 4000/- which is not even the actual cost at the time of purchase and i just used for 2 months. i talked to imran and kiran rest of the names i don't remember of the coustmer care but they replied the same thing

Airtel DTH — Refund issue

I requested for new Airtel digital connection and got connection in a day. Airtel DTH also debited amount from my A/C on the same day. I have got the customer id [protected]. When engineer came then he said that can not put DTH because of some satelite issues. I immediate request for disconnection but did not get my amount credited since last one month. When do I call Airtel customer care then first thing able to get connected with the Agent in half an hour and then they say it will be credited very soon. Somehow, I find the Airtel DTH commitment level and service level is very bad and the right word would be pathetic.

I am not sure when will I get my amount back.

You will never get your money back. Mr Mittal doesn't believe in returning what has reached him.

maine AIRTEL dth liya hai. aur setop box khrab huwa hai aur AIRTEL wale mujhe o
setop box nahi de rahe hai. compani wali RS. 300 mangte hai aur jo enstol karne aata o
RS. 700 magta hai main 3 manth se complaint kar raha hu par koi nahi sunta.

main chahta hu ke mujhe o setop box de de meri aur wajip kimat lele.

Airtel — Threatening to stop DTH services

My Airtel Cust.ID is [protected],for AIRTEL DTH SERVICES.
I have subscribed Rs.2000/-in total,for MEGA PACK for 6Months,on 1st July 2011(ending on 31st Dec 2011).
I am getting SMSs since 15 days,that services will be stopped on 10th Sept 2011,in my registered mobile.
Now,today,on 12 Sept 2011,throughout the day,a message box appearing on my TV screen "your account
balance is low,RECHARGE with Rs.310/- and get Rs.15/- as BONUS".
I have reported the matter to M/s.AIRTEL,on 1st Sept 2011,through Email. Reply of same made by them,that they will inform me accordingly.Their complaint Ref No:11525425 Dtd.01Sept 2011,not attended by them.
Kindly advice,how can I get rid of the matter ?

Airtel remote is not working
Airtel dth is the most costly compared to other services.I want to switch to other dth.is there any porting available in dth.
Hi had a DTH connection since 2013 and stopped using it since 2020 Aug. I wrote an email to airtel to surrender my connection and get back my security deposit and balance amount left in my account.
I havemt received any communication from them on the request. I only get sms from hem everyday asking me to recharge.
