[Resolved]  Akbar Travels — Fraudulent Ticket Provided by the Agent

Address:Mumbai City, Maharashtra

Today I booked an Indigo flight from Akbar Travels Online. After booking I had received the travel ticket from the agent site mentioning my flight details. After some time I received a travel ticket from Indigo site mentioning the different flight booking at some different time. Surprisingly, both the tickets, in spite of having different flight details, have the same booking reference number. When I talked to Indigo customer support they affirmed that they had sent me the ticket on the basis of details provided by Akbar Travels. Now that means that the ticket which was sent by Akbar Travels to me was a fraudulent one because the ticket has the same reference number as the correct ticket from Indigo.

When I tried to call Akbar Travels, the customer support was showing very passive and totally irresponsible behavior.

Akbar Travels — Arrogant Staff -Zero Service Orientation

Akbar Travels - Personalized Services by the Award Winning Akbar Group. This is what this group has to say about itself. However, they have no clue about what SERVICE means. I have not come across any customer representative with the level of arrogance and irresponsibility and more useless than Ms Fathima or whatever from Akbar Travels Chennai Airport Counter.
I guess they could use some lessons in customer management and expectation, more so they will benefit from learning basic etiquette and how to speak with customers.
Guess they need to leave their family problems and attitude at home, or join some anger management sessions to control their baseless fury...

I had to catch an Air India Express flight from Chennai scheduled at 10 a.m.and needed a print out of my ticket.

I reached the airport at 9.15 a.m.,went to the Air India counter and they guided me to the other end of the airport. By the time I waded through the crowd of people and reached the other end it was 9.25 p.m. and realized Air India Express did not have a counter there.

On asking the security personnel, they guided me to Akbar Travels to get a ticket print-out.

I finally went to the Akbar Travels counter, where I find Ms. Fathima their representative listening to music on her ipod/ phone. I requested her for a ticket print-out and she took her own time to respond and told me that it would cost me Rs.50 for a ticket print out. I was taken aback, however asked her to get me a print out and also provide me the manager's contact details. I wanted to clarify what was the basis of charging Rs.50 for a printout of a ticket.

As soon as I asked her for the manager's details, she started yelling at me and had the audacity to tell me that "You want to talk to my manager for Rs.50 and do you think I am cheating you" I yet was trying to stay calm as I was super-late. I told her that it had nothing to do with cheating, but I would definitely want to inform him about my feedback regarding charging that kind of a fee.

However, her yelling did not seem to cease. Then she finally went back to listening to music and refused to give me a print out. She said " Do what you feel like, even if you give me the money I will not give you a print-out" I had to repeatedly request her, I kept trying to tell her that I was really late for the flight, yet she refused to budge and give me a print out of the ticket.

After repeated pleas she agreed to give me a print-out and wasted another 5 minutes asking for unwanted details and making me repeat every piece of information before she finally handed over the print out.

If I had the time, I would have taken on the issue right away. Really dont know how someone so insensitive, rude, arrogant , immature and with zero sense o[censored]rgency/ responsibility can be appointed as a front-end customer representative.

I agree with this complaint. At least this is in line with what I felt while interacting with their Mumbai call center. The staff was suffering with "attitude" problem and in some cases, I had a gut feeling that they were drunk.
