Hi,

I have a APC UPS BR1000G-IN! It’s battery stopped functioning last year! I contacted APC INDIA CUSTOMER SUPPORT, and asked to buy a new battery, they kept stalling with lame excuses like China problem. Then I wrote to APC USA, they were worse, they simply had an automated response that we will get back to you soon, their soon has still not come after almost one year! If it were not serious it would be funny;)

    Hi all!

    I ordered an order from overseas which came to Delhi terminal on 27th Jun' 22. The order hasn't moved from there since then.
    I have paid 1500 just for shipping.
    It isa gift for a special one. Can you please let me know by when can I expect this as this is taking more than it should.
    It has already passed the timeline of 20 Business days.

      No response from APC customer care for the complaint raised. Poor quality product. Inverter beeps continuously and not adjusting to power fluctuations. Whereas other brand inverters using by my neighbors/friends are working perfectly fine.
      Even the trolley was duplicate and was slanting a side without bearing the Weight of battery

      Waste of money and lot of inconvenience. Big mistake buying the APC home inverter.

          I have purchased APC UPS 600 dated 07 Apr -2012 . Model number is "EB[protected]" Customer Care Reference Number:- "06160938" Customer Care Complaint Number:- "07146589" from Best Price. I called customer care since one and half month before on that time they gives me instruction "please try one method for to get again back UP Like push reset button for a while" i tried it but still i faced back Up problem. Now my UPS is totally dead and its continuously beeping . I called customer care 23 Nov 2013 and discussed everything but they didn't tell me procedure regarding scanning of invoice and Mail . Today somebody call me and said that procedure(Invoice mailing) and they haven't my updated Address also. I talked to Best Price Supervisor Bhopal(Mob Num:-[protected]) and explain their sleep because of they just put there seal on grantee card which have 7-Apr-2012 date.but the day of now on billing every word is missing and not display properly . he said no problem engineer can manage with reference of seal As i have every thing like guarantee card with best price seal then why APC Engineer required Bill.           False and misleading advertising

          Company advertised max 55dba noise for its model src6000uxi. But it is 70dba which is very noisy and cause hearing loss. Company be asked for complete refund of all the models sold.

            COMPLAINT NO: C1-[protected] - ESCALATION REQUIRED
            purchased on March 30 , 2012 ) for reduced battery runtimes . I am getting 6mins with Internal battery alone and getting 14mins with external battery alone ( BR24BPG-IN ) for a load of 100W . Engineer (Mr. Gowrav - [protected] ) visited on 14 May 2013 and confirmed that there is only a problem with the internal battery and not the external battery but there is an issue with both the internal and external battery . The total runtime I am getting from both the main unit and external unit is a mere 14mins for a load of 100W .

            Please refer to the complaint no in the subject line for the serial numbers of both Main until
            C1-[protected] -> BR1000g-IN and BR24BPG-IN.

            Please see that this engineer is suitably warned for the wrong report he is providing in the job card resulting in a delay in the process of Replacement of external battery BR24BPG-IN He gave a wrong report that only internal battery is faulty in BR1000G-in but whereas the external battery BR24BPG-IN is also faulty ( its giving 14min battery backup for 100W load ).

              I had bought a backup UPS from retailer shop in Nov. 2010 made by
              APC and it is not working properly from 1st. day. I have complaint to retailer.He told me the customer care Toll No. and I did submit my complaint. A service agent of company came at my home and he changed other Backup UPS. It is also not working and I could not used it for onetime. now retailer is not taking any responsebility and what can I do others I donot about it. I am an under10th educated farmer and belongs to rural area in Haryana and not know English language. pl. help me.

                I BOUGHT APC BACKUP UPS ES-650 TWO MONTHS AGO BUT NOW IT IS NOT WORKING.I COMPLAINED 8 TO 10 TIMES OVER PHONE.MORE THAN ONE MONTHS PASSED BUT NO RESPONSE FROM THEM.I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO.IT COST THREE TIMES MORE THAN OTHER COMPANIES UPS.MANY FRIENDS WARNED ME NOT TO BUY APC BECAUSE OF THEIR BAD SERVICE AND BAD PRODUCT QUALITY.BUT NOW I AM REALIZING.NOW I CAME TO KNOW THAT APC SELLS RECONDITIONED UPS IN INDIA.

                  I bought a brand new APC UPS (BR1000-IN - Rs.6000) on 29th May 2010, but soon the UPS backup reduced to 5 mins and it never charged. I raised a compaint with customer care on 6th July and with in 2 days the FSE checked and ordered for replacement, but the company replaced the entire unit with a old one, which again failed to backup even for a min, now when i asked them to replace the unit with a new one they refused as they say that the 1 month warranty for new unit replace is already expired.

                  I am already fed up with the service support and response that i am getting from APC. Even though my issues is still not resolved I get emails and SMS for feedback for "replacing the new unit with a old one which is not working". I am still trying to get hold of some escalation contacts so that i can escalate the issue to next level.

                  Attached file has the status which shows the UPS is 100% charged but the backup is just 1 min and more over it was on AC power.

                  i HAVE BEEN IN TOUCH WITH YOUR CALL CENTRE EVERY OTHER DAY REGARDING OVERHEATING OF BATTERY.
                  I haved mailed my complaint to you more than 10 times, also to one sanjay dubey as per your advice.But you people dont bother to respond.
                  Please advice what is PM record, because of this very reason my battery claim is again being rejected despite being in warranty. In APC warranty terms and conditions nowhere it is written battery has to be ONLY maintained by APC PERSON. Even customer can take care of HIS battery by filling water.I was adviced by dealer to maintain battery on my own as APC doesnt visit for such SILLY things.
                  Earlier my claim was rejected because of purchase date goo[censored]p and now because of PM record. How many excuses you will search for to run away from responsibilities.
                  it has been MOST disgusting response from APC Service centre.I have registered a complaint regarding overheating of battery under warranty.complaint no C[protected].The battery was purchased on 15/07/2008 for which i have submitted photocopy of invoice (invoice no 153)from dealer to your service engineer.But without checking purchase date on invoice,Apc earlier closed my complaint SAYING ITS OUT OF WARRANTY and my battery claim was rejected.I have raised a new complaint regarding this to APC,new complaint no is C1-[protected].Now you have come with the FRESH excuse that PM record is not available.This is frustating.

                  Even Your service engineer from Arnav Enterprises, Airoli, Navi Mumbai, 400708 who visited my place didnt bother to bypass the dangerously overheated battery from circuit.He left us at the mercy of god and said us to continue using battery till it burst.

                  I STATE ,I continue to use overheated battery under warranty, if anything goes terribly wrong with battery(if it bursts),APC Shall be SOLELY held responsible.

                  Please act swiftly or i shall be forced to refer my complaint to consumer forum.Issue is not of few bucks, but of multinationals who dont bother to practice ethics in business.I as an customer will fightback such tendencies.

                  After a long follow up with APC and its state sales manager i was able to get a brand new UPS and its been working fine since last 15 days. :-)

                  If they had responded promptly, i would not have had to post the above concern ;-)

                      i placed a service request (# C1-[protected]) on APC (hyderabad) almost a week back. An engineer came from one of the company's local partners the next day, but had no clue what was wrong. Am following up with the company ever since by calling almost every day -but their apathetic attitude in getting the servicing done is disgusting.

                        I have had the worst experience for Service levels with APC in Bangalore. I urge everybody not to buy APC products, just because of the Service apathy. It takes them 3-6 weeks to attend to any complaint, that too after numerous reminders & requests.
                        Imagine a person who has bought a UPS which fails & then it takes 6 weeks to get it right again, if that’s what UPS stands for...Uninterrupted Power Supply, then APC should stand for "American Powers Chors"...
                        For anybody’s reference to check the authenticity of my comments, please call their call centre & check the following complaint numbers - the day of complaint login & the resolved day - My complaint numbers are C[protected] in April 09, C1 - [protected] in June 09 & C1-[protected] in July 09 which is still UNATTENDED as on 14th August 09.
                        Can anybody guide me how I get I full refund by returning this product OR can I get a compensation for the harassment OR can we jointly lodge a formal complaint to any authority which can take any action against them ??
                        I purchased APC home lighting UPS 800VA product serial number BB[protected] and supplier part number HI800SQ on 15th June 2009 with two years warranty. On 6th May 2010 the UPS started showing faulty signal and stopped functioning. Then I contacted the customer care unit at Bangalore and made the complaint. Thereafter as there was no response, I made repeated calls. On 15th May 2010, when I made the fifth complaint(CI-[protected]), I was told by the representative in the customer care unit that the service engineer Mr.Prashanth has given a report that unit is working fine and there is no problem. I do not know who this Mr. Prasant is. I have not spoken to him and he has not visited my place. The report given by Mr. Prashant is false. Therefore the option is to approach the Consumer Court to get justice.

                            This is for your kind information that I have purchased one APC 800VA Inverter from your Delhi dealer 16th April, 2006. Now a days some humming sound is coming from electrical appliances like tube light, fan etc. I complained to your Bangalore office and vide my complaint number C[protected] dated 14.4.09 your Delhi Representative called me at my mobile number [protected] to bring the inverter at Martec Systems and Services, 6th floor, Sidhartha Building, 96 Nehru Place, New Delhi. I took my inverter there and explained that some humming sound is coming from tube lights and fans etc. when electricity goes off to one Mr. Ashok Kumar, Mechanic. After examining by Mr Ashok Kumar, he told me to leave the inverter for three days for rectifying the fault and Rs.900/- inclusive of taxes I have to bear. I agreed and left the inverter.

                            After three days I enquire from Mr Ashok Kumar about the inverter and he told me to collect the same. When I reached to Martec Systems and Services, I was shocked to see that without opening the inverter Mr. Ashok Kumar told me that your inverter is OK now. I insisted him to open the inverter before me and show me what part you have replaced in the inverter. Mr. Ashok straight way refuse me that it can not be open as we are not having any screwdriver to open. And for three hours they tried to make me fool by using other tactics. After three hours one gentleman open the inverter and I found that inverter was full of dust and never opened in three days.

                            I regret to inform you Sir, that APC is a reputed company and people like Mr Ashok Kumar and other staff are spoiling the image of your company by using unfair practices and making money by fooling customers. I request you to take strict action against Mr Ashok Kumar for his negligency and cheating and get my inverter repaired.

                            You can covery your Inverter by executing AMC Contract with APC, so you can avoid the costly service cost.

                            We are APC Dealers is Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
                            After the Warranty period you can execute an Extended Warranty contract with APC.
                            Here are the two Options:

                            1) While your Inverter or UPS is in warranty period you can extended it by an year. The Cost for HI800Q 800va Inverter is Rs. 1400/- Inclusive of Taxes. (for a year)

                            2) If you equipment is out of warranty you require to take a min of two years AMC / Warranty contract with APC. 2 year cost is Rs. 1400 x 2 = 2800/-

                            THE AMC / Ext. Warranty is the same as APC warranty - On-Site Replacement of the Inverter/UPS. No charges for Site Visit or Spares.

                            Please not the batteries are not covered by AMC & Extended warranty, as they are consumables.

                            We are authorized dealer of executing the AMC / Extended warranty in India.

                            You need to send you Equipment Model No: Serial No, Purchase Date (Scanned copy of your bill), Name, Address, Land line and Mobile Phone, to saliyasys(at)gmail.com and courier us a cheque / DD. and within 3 days from payment you would receive an APC AMC Contract by e-mail.

                            Extended Warranty / AMC is similar to APC warranty, you can book you complaints by calling the call center and quoting you equipment model, serial no and AMC contract No.

                              On the evening of 27th Feb 2009 I purchased a UPS for my home computer from a shop named COMPUTER SHOPPE in Vadapalani, Chennai. Same day night I realised that I have been cheated! THe UPS unit was not functioning. I went throgh the trouble shooting manual and did everything written on it. I could see that the battery was APC make.
                              Next day I returned the UPS to the dealer. He promised me to look into the matter after consulting with the APC people. On 3rd March morning I got a call from the dealer informing me that there was a minor connection problem of cable with the battery and it has been corrected. Same day evening I went to the dealer to collect the UPS. Just to satisfy my curiousity, I slid back the battery holder cover. To my surprise and annoyance I saw a duplicate battery installed - some vague chinese company. On my protest, the dealer told me that they are also not aware as the battery was checked by APC field service personnel. I also taked to APC business dev mgr. His response was totally unprofessional and non-committal type, Today (4th Feb 09) I got a call from tyhe dealer informing me that APC people are telling that this is their company policy and they won't replace the faulty unit - and the cutomer is free to do whatever he wants if he is not satisfied.

                              JUST IMAGINE THE SITUATION. APC DOESN'T HAVE ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR A BRAND NEW PRODUCT, NOT USED EVEN FOR A SECOND, AND PLACES THE CUSTOMER RESPONSIBLE FOR BUYING IT.
                              MY SUGGESTION TO PROSPECTIVE CUSTOMERS - GO FOR APC PRODUCTS IF YOU LOVE HARRASSMENT, SUBSTANDARD SERVICE, MENTAL TORTURE, AND CALLOUS REPONSE ROM THE COMPANY.

                              4 MONTHS AGO, I BOUGHT A 1.5KVA APC UPS FROM AN AUTHORISED APC DISTRIBUTOR. ON INSTALLATION, THE UPS NEVER WORKED, I TOOK IT TO APC WARRANTY CENTRE(SAI) AND THEY SAY THAT THEY ARE WAITING FOR SPARES FROM ABROAD. THIS UPS WAS NEW AND I DIDNT EXPECT ISSUES OF REPAIR TO ARISE BUT THEY CONCERNED ARE LESS CONCERNED ON HOW LONG A PERSON WAITS TO BE SORTED.

                              CAN APC PULL OUT OF THE KENYAN MARKET IF THEY CANNOT SUPPORT THEIR PRODUCTS!!! ITS VERY ANNOYING.
                              We are in contract with APC for AMC for our APC make UPS. The contract is with M/s Powertronix. The service provider is not responding properly and due to pathetic service, our operation is getting disturbed. We have paid the full advance for AMC and feel that the service support is not as expected.
                              I have been supplied UPS Back-UPS (ES 500 ) BE 500Y-IN sl No. BB[protected]
                              with local battery by Ahmedabad distributor sl no. 0603001 make Championby M/s Power-Tech. Please let me know that you are supplying UPS with ibid said battery if not replace it.
                              Yes I face same problems. I am from Delhi. These APC Products are very bad. I brought APC UPS June 2009 and within warranty period APC UPS Plug Holes are melted. I complaint to APC customer care. The promise me to replace me new UPS. After some times they came with new APC UPS the after few minutes later they decide that they cant replace this UPS and taken back new UPS. I complaint again they give me funny excuses. And never ready to replace new.

                              MY SUGGESTION TO PROSPECTIVE CUSTOMERS - GO FOR APC PRODUCTS IF YOU LOVE HARRASSMENT, SUBSTANDARD SERVICE, MENTAL TORTURE, AND CALLOUS REPONSE ROM THE COMPANY.

                              Pls u decide u will be buy in future APC products.

                                After the warranty period, they twisted our arm. The problem was with on/off switch. It has to be pressed 3 or 4 times to start the UPS. They said the service charge is Rs.250/- + switch cost RS.50/-. We insisted the part should be changed in our house, they agreed. Technician came, checked the UPS and confirmed the need to change only the switch. He did not bring the switch. His boss, over phone requested us to send the PCB to their office. We allowed it and commited a big blunder.

                                Next day we were shocked to hear that 2 Mosfets and some diodes need to be changed apart from switch. They increased repair charge to Rs.675/-. If this is not agreed, we have to shell out Rs.250/- to get back the PCB without any repair. I cannot understand as to how the UPS worked even with the faulty switch in the presence of their technician when Mosfets and diodes were burnt on PCB. This is a pure lie to charge more since customers usually donot know electronics. They were in no mood for any argument since they hijacked the PCB and they are sure to get a minimum of Rs.250/- as service charges.

                                They sent the PCB with a new switch and we saw fresh solder on the Mosfets terminals but not on the diodes. On our demand they have returned the defective switch, Mosfets, but not diodes. We still believe that they just applied fresh solder on the original Mosfets. The defective Mosfets they returned are taken from their scrap box.

                                They have billed for Rs.601/- and Rs.74/- as service tax @12.36%, which is wrong. They must charge service tax on only Rs.250/-as service charges and VAT @4% on the remaining replaced components cost.

                                This APC authorised service centre is in no mood to accept this way of billing. Ultimately they are collecting more tax than was specified and paying it to the government.

                                Their new UPS ' ES 500 ' is available for Rs.1900/- in the market. After the warranty period, we were forced to pay 1/3 rd cost of the new unit for the first repair and we were denied any guarantee for this service. Going by this, if two more repairs are conducted on this UPS, we would spend the cost of a new unit. So, we decided to close the doors for further repairs and any new product of APC.

                                Next time we have to opt to buy a brand which offers "life long free service" (components reasonably charged) or buy a low cost local brand on "use & throw" basis. We should not allow any part of the UPS to be taken to their office and must insist the service to be done at our place.

                                We are APC Dealers is Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
                                After the Warranty period you can execute an Extended Warranty contract with APC.
                                Here are the two Options:

                                1) While your Inverter or UPS is in warranty period you can extended it by any year. The Cost for 500va UPS is Rs. 600/- Inclusive of Taxes.

                                2) If you equipment is out of warranty you require to take a min of two years AMC / Warranty contract with APC. 2 year cost is Rs. 600 x 2 = 1200/-

                                We are authorized dealer of executing the AMC / Extended warranty in India.

                                You need to send you Equipment Model No: Serial No, Purchase Date (Scanned copy of your bill), Name, Address, Land line and Mobile Phone, to saliyasys(at)gmail.com and courier us a cheque / DD. and within 3 days from payment you would receive an APC AMC Contract by e-mail.

                                Extended Warranty / AMC is similar to APC warranty, you can book you complaints by calling the call center and quoting you equipment model, serial no and AMC contract No.

                                  This is S.Venkataramani from Chennai.I bought an APC invertor(godrej marketing) last feburary(2008)(at OBEL REDDY AND SONS, Tambaram, Chennai.)

                                  Ever since i bought this invertor it encountered so many problems...first i received a 100%damaged battery on the very first day...after making so many complaints i got it replaced by the company after nearly two weeks..then came the second repair...the invertor (UPS)itself did not work...finally after lodging so many compliants with the company, i got it replaced .even after that i got a problem..it was replaced again.

                                  NOW, for the fourth time, i am again encountering a problem..the inverter is never giving any backup and the battery is reaching terrible temperatures which forces us to switch the inverter off..when i try to fill DISTILLED WATER, the water boils and comes out..

                                  i have never seen such a WORST product like APC in my life..

                                  Within one year three replacements have been made(2 times inverters and one time battery)..i better suggest you people to shut down the company rather than manufacturing such crap products..

                                  I am getting irritated beyond an extent..

                                  MY inverter is still under warranty and want immediate replacement of the battery or else i have to move to the consumer court and sue APc..


                                  I really suggest everyone not to buy any APC products..

                                  Referring to my complaint dt.1-3-2009 in this forum, I wish to say that the UPS has again stopped working from today, even after shelling out one-third cost of the new piece as service charges in February '09. As second time repair is not economical, I decided to throw this APC product into scrap and buy a new one in OTHER BRANDS.

                                    This is the most bogus company, I have every dealt with. Pankaj Sharma the CGM of the country himself promised that he will look into my issue, however he has not bothered to either correct the issue nor respond

                                    Why do you keep such managers who have no basic understanding of customer service?

                                    With the customer services in shambles, this person has now gone to singapore.

                                    I undersigned an ex-employee of your furnishing division located in Kharchi, Jhagadia – Gujarat, retired on 31st July, 2008 after completion of 58 years. Present VP Shri K M Sharma has retired me from my job. On 1st August, 2008 I finished all the documentation formalities and submitted all the required papers and letter in prescribed format and also filled the forms for gratuity, PF, Superannuation and FPF.



                                    Almost after two months I received PF claim and Gratuity and GM HR Col. Aluwaliya also forwarded my superannuation application to relevant dept. which is coming to me on time. But till now no response is being received by me for FPF and even my documents are not forwarded to the PF dept. till date.



                                    As per rules FPF relevant forms, photo and account details are already submitted to your Bangalore office which after verifying by Bangalore office by Mr. Rajesh Sharma – Director (Finance) should be submitted to PF office. In this issue after my several inquires and phone calls to Mr. Laxmi Narayan GM Finance, he has advised to communicate with Mr. Ramesh Kumar as he is looking to FPF.



                                    Around three to four time he confirmed me that today he will submit my paper after verification to PF dept. But it is regretful on every inquiry he is saying that “positively he will submit my PF papers today”. But nobody is giving complete and right details regarding the same issue to me. I have also asked the reason for delay in forwarding the documents, but every time he is saying that today he is forwarding the papers. However lastly I am approaching your good self to provide me justification and reason for abnormal delay and when your Bangalore office will proceed in the matter.
