From, R.Loganayaki, 50/36, Shanmugaperuman street, Keelperumbakkam, Villupuram. Dear sir, My son R. Shanthakumar was worked in police department as Police in villupuram District.( Police no. 1863 ).He had a savings account in Axis bank, Vliiupuram ( Account no:4670101 [protected] He operated this account as his salary account and he got his salary through this account. He also used a Golden ATM card which is given by the bank. My son unexpectedly met an accident and expired on 1 st July 2009. I approached the bank to withdraw my son’s balance and close the account; they said Because of gold card user he is eligible for the death claim insurance of Rs. 5 lakhs. They verified my son’s account and issued application form for the claim. I filled the application and attached all the required certificates which they asked. On October 2009 bank people came from Chennai to my home and verified all the details and they said I will get the claim amount within a month, Afterwards I have not received any information from the bank. I went to the bank several times they said my application was forwarded to Bombay and your claim amount will come to my house. After one year I have not received any information from the bank and I also tried to meet the branch manager the Asst. manager Mr . kannan was not allowing to meet him. We also send one registered letter explaining the above details on 30.07.2010. But till now I have not received any answer from the bank, I am an aged women and I unable to continuously go to the bank and also I very much upset on my son’s death. I Pakhee Tyagi is a bereaved widow of Late Shri Ashutosh Tyagi, who was an account holder with your bank having account number
[protected] and holding an Axis Bank priority debit card bearing number [protected].
Ashutosh met with a car crash and lost his life on the 17th of February, 2017, I even lost my father in the same car crash. Ever since that day we have till date not able to come to terms with the sudden loss. Our daughter is just 11 yrs old and everyday is a struggle for me to help her lead a normal life. Financial issues are o[censored]tmost concern, My husband being the only bread earner, the tragedy has hit us both emotionally and financially.
His debit card carries a claim of Rs 5 lacs, which at this juncture is a huge amount for me. I submitted all the required documents to Ms.Sheenam Pahwa who is AVP Operations head with your branch on 9th of May 2017. I was assured that the claim would come soon and the maximum limit is 90 days from the date of the submission of the documents. I started random follow up with her after a month. She directed me to Mr. Gaurav Arora from the same branch. Unending assurances from his side started fading into numerous excuses. He is being way too unprofessional as far as this case is concerned.
Now from last one month he has been saying that the Insurance Company is not responding and is not reverting his phone calls and I should call them, I am really shocked to hear such statements. Why am i supposed to follow up with the Insurance Company. This is what Axis Bank does with the clients. I was not expecting such an unprofessional and unethical attitude from a bank with such high repute. It has left me with only grief and anger. I am helpless as I don't know whom to approach now. I am sending this mail hoping that some ethics and empathy is still left.
Waiting for some response.
