[Resolved]  Bajaj Pulsar — Cheating with Customer

Dear Sir,

My name is Amrit Kashyap. I've saved money to fulfill my dreams of having a bike for around 2 years.

I purchased a Bajaj Pulsar 150cc from Fairdeal Bajaj, South Ganesh Nagar, Delhi 110092 on July 2, 2008.
On the day of purchase, I told service mechanic that pickup of the bike is not good and gears are harder to change, but they gave me assurance that with new bikes it's normal and within a few days, they will become normal. But nothing went right and pickup of the bike was never upto the expectation.

When I went for first service, I requested them again to look into the issue as pickup was not good. Then they told me clutch plates of the bikes were faulty and because of that pickup of the bike is not good. I was shocked to hear that. How can clutch plates of a brand new bike be faulty? I asked them to replace clutch plates as my bike was under warranty, but they plainly told me that clutch plates are not covered under warranty. I argued with them on the same, but to no avail. Neither have they taken my complaint nor provided me any solution to my bike problem. I told them that on the day of purchase, I've complained for the pickup of the bike. Instead of resolving my problem they started asking me useless questions like
-- to whom have I complained?
-- do I've any written proof of my complaint?
-- do I recognize the service engineer who provided me assurance?

Got fed up with all this, I decided to go for clutch plate replacement. In Feb 2009, I got cluth plate replaced not from Fairdeal, but some other authorized service center, for which I had to pay 1800 Rs. If all this might have stopped here, I would have been much glad.

For the 2-3 weeks the bike performed normally, but not upto my expectations again. I asked them again and they replied that clutch plates are new, will get normal within a few days. I did not have any other choice, but to trust them, but bike performance was going down day by day and I stopped using the bike for daily commuting. Now I used to drive only occasionally and only from my living place to Metro station which is around 2 KM away.

My service was due and I went for service to Fairdeal authorized center on 21 Sep, 2009. Please note fairdeal service center is around 10 KM from my living place and I rode my bike to reach there. I am mentioning this to make this fact clear that bike was running normally before getting serviced.

I told them in details problem faced by me with this bike. I was surprised to hear their explanation. "CLUTCH PLATE ARE FAULTY". How come clutch plates can go bad, when bike is running only around 5 KM daily.

I had a heated arguments with the service manager and supervisor over there, but to no avail. I talked to Fairdeal manager on the same issue, but he was one step further from his team. HE ARROGANTLY TOLD ME I DON'T KNOW HOW TO RIDE A BIKE. Just to mention the fact, I am driving bike from last 8-10 year and I never had any such problem earlier.

After the service I took the bike and to my surprise the bike was not even running. It refused to accelerate above 15 KM per hour and almost died when climbing a fly over. I had to push my bike on foot to take it to my living place. After the service the bike is standing idle.

I firmly believe that their is some manufacturing fault in the bike because of which its not performing as expected. Due to the arguments with supervisor, they have deliberately spoiled my bike. Before serving it was running normal, only problem was of pickup. But after the service, it's not running at all.

My experience with Bajaj Pulsar and bajaj authorized service is very bad. In my opinion, Fairdeal Bajaj is making fool of the people. Fairdeal Bajaj Manager, supervisor and their service engineers are a bunch of crook.

I will never suggest to any one to purchase bajaj product they r not authrised to giving customer service.

Thanks & Regards

Amrit Kashyap
