[Resolved]  Barclay Card — Pathetic service rendered. and fraud system

Dear sir,
1. After 2 months of applying I got my card delivered at my residence where in i had requested on all queries that my card my kindly be delivered to my mailing address. I had given my official address as mailing address. But these people didnt adhere to my instructions at all.
2. No customer care services. Customer care no.[protected] is not working. I complained for my card through email and its more than 60 hours. I have received no response from [protected]@barclaycard.in.
3. There is no way to tell even in case of lost credit card to avoid misuse on theft as non of the customer care no. is working.

4. My card was delivered to me on 15th March. last four digit of my card are #### #### #### 6825 I used the card for one transaction on 18th March of payment of mobile bill online for Rs. 421 and it worked well but when i tried to use this for shopping in market on 21st March. The card didnt work on 2 outlets. shopkeeper told me that it says "limit exhausted/ No funds available". I fail to understand why such a message as i have used Rs. 421 only and in my covering letter mentioned that i have limit of 30, 000 rs. It was very embarrasing to face such a situation. resolve my problem at the earliest.

Please resolve my issues. I want to surrender this card and i dont know procedure to get rid of this card as well

Barclay card is running pathetic system and services rendered by them are very poor. They are cheating innocent people please. help me and get my issues reoslobed as soon as possible.

Barclay card — Awful Customer Service

Hi

I've been using Barclay Credit Card from Nov 2007, I got a card with a credit limit of 23000, and they promised me that they would increase my credit limit on my usage .

After 6 months I had put a request to increase my credit limit, I was informed that as of now they are not taking in any request to increase the Cr Limit so my Cr Limit stays the same

On Nov 13th I planed to buy a mobile phone, Jusu out of curiosity I wanted to know my avialable Cr Limit and
I was told its 3000,
I asked them what is the Cr Limit on my Card, I was informed it 9000 and its been decreased from[protected], I dont understand why did they do this even though i was promt in making my payments and also use to make full payment

After talking to BCO(Barclay Card Officer) on 13th Nov, he asked me send a email which I did and I was promised that they will get back to me on this issue in 48hrs, but I guess still for BARCLAYS 48hrs is yet to complete . I have the details of the call for 13th NOV

I have used the Barclaycard No. [protected] only once in the last 8-9 months for my railway ticket booking in the month of June. I really had to struggle hard to find the drop box and I have never been happy with the service. I made the payment of the same in the month of september with a cheque of Rs.1000/- only vide cheque no. 313741 And now I keep recieving the calls from the customare care that we, have not recived the payment. I'm fed up with your service and I want to close the card. otherwise I will have go to the consumer court fro the harrasment being done by regular SMS and calls.

the credit cards are meant for the conveneience of the customer and not for harrasment

kindly look into the matter at the earliest.

Barclay card — Poor and Pathetic Service

My card no is 4***********7282. I am using services for last 1 year and pay my bills on time using your online facilities.

On 14th Nov 2008 I had to face an embarrassing situation because of your poor services. I was trying to swipe my card for Rs 4000/- and my card was showing the decline status at the payment counter.

I called up your Customer Service and informed the same, upon which they told me that my credit limit is reduced from 75 K to 15 K because of banking authorities decisions and the same has been communicated via post which I not received till 14th Nov 08.

I am very surprised to hear this from Barclays as I have never defaulted any payment for my bills; moreover your executives call me every day for some or the other promotional activities. I wonder why the same couldn’t be communicated to me through a call when my credit limit was reduced...

On 15th Oct 08 I received a post from Barclays stating my credit limit is revised to INR 10, 000 which is very contradicting. You really need to re visit the existing communication procedure you have with your customers.

I am so upset with your service that I have now decided to discontinue using Barclay cards

Barclay Priority Circle

Fed up of your constant promotional call for Barclay Priority Circle, I accepted the offer and paid 5000 Rs as membership fees last month for which I have only got vouchers. Now that I have decided to discontinue Barclay cards I need a refund on the same and requesting you to collect the vouchers back.

If the above is not possible I would pay 5000 Rs less from my current outstanding bills

Please resolve my issue as soon as possible

I am receiving your SMS regarding Monthly Statements dispatch Courier details. But till date I have not received any statement from last 4 months. I am unable to understand why it is happening to me? Every month I am contacting concern Courier Offices, but they are telling they have not received any courier from Barclay. I am giving the SMS details, but my efforts are in vain. What I have to do? How I will get the same? This month the statement was dispatched through Manikanta Courier Services. When I tried to contact them by phone, no body is giving response to my call. Please look into the matter and do the needful to me.

i c.venkat raghavan using sify connection the charges which they are charging is not frequently charged, y because for 64 kbps they are charging 500rs for month and the other people for 256 kbps they are charging 750 rs, this facility giving by tata airtel, reliance,
but make sify to give atleast 128 kbps for 500 it would be better and reasnable.

I have paid back the amount through check, but they made delay in clearing the check due to this they have charged me like 4000rs and i have rejected to pay the amount and now they keep on adding the finacial charges to that and calling me up for the payment

guess now amt became 13000, one ***** girl UMA/Diwakar from chennai promised of reversal and ask for 350 rs to pay. I have payed the amount but did not get reversal on my credit card please be care full with these

Barclay card — Credit card interest rates more than 120%

I have a barclay cradit card for which i have to pay 600 rs in december which i have forgotten after paying all the paymrnt to them untill last 6 months they have never spoken to me now they are continusly calling and saying that i have to pay 5200 rs for them.this is toooooooo much

I am a Barclaycard holder/customer from 2008. In 2009 had a real tough time on account of a insurance issues which was forced on my hand and amount deducted even without my confirmation and charged unnecessarily for that and I got off this headache by paying the charges which they said will be reversed but not done so till date.

As this is the case I received several calls from Barclaycards Mumbai call centre in the month of June regarding a special offer for customers who have clear billing cycle (I clearly said I don’t want any such things because already I had a bad experience with Barclay). They insisted this is 1000 in 1 chance and we provide you a new Platinum Barclaycard with credit limit of Rs. 1, 00, 000/- and six months interest free and after that 1% interest per month for the goodwill you have with us and to compensate the losses you have gone through and to create a better relationship along with the following benefits.

MetLife Medical Policy worth rs 12000/- of which you pay a premium of 1000 each monthly for 3 months and balance taken care by Barclay.

After 3 months the amount paid by you will be returned back as a cheque along with bonus rs 5000.

Gift vouchers worth 2500/-.

Your old card, which has some amount outstanding will be canceled.

1000 rs which you lost from the previous case of insurance refunded.

Total benefit 3000+5000+1000 = 9000/- as cheque in the month of September.

They insisted that all these are recorded call and you will get the CD from our side as a proof and you do not need to contact any persons and we will be in touch with you till our promises are fulfilled.

After this they connected to MetLife IVR and all works were done within in few minutes and amount blocked in my card.

The persons were in contact till the third installment was paid and did not contact after August.

When I inquired Barclay Customer Care they say they are not aware of such offers.

This is total FRAUD Act from Barclay. How can strangers call and give offers and give promises on behalf of Barclay. So another episode of FALSE PROMISES to a customer who has a clear bill till date. I guess I am not the only person being cheated like this. I searched in the internet and there are 100s of Barclay Customers being cheated openly in the name of Barclaycards.
I have been using HSBC, CITI and BARCLAY and I am very much happy with the service provided by HSBC and CITI card. I lose my peace of mind the moment I think about BARCLAY card because of their fraud commitment and poor service. I have a bad experience with them as they provided me personal loan of Rs. 75000 without my consent and my effort to cancel within an hour after their same sale person talked to me was a waste of time. Now I continue with this loan (for no reason) but after my card statement and when I calculated the interest amount and the service fee I got to know that the total interest rate which I would be paying is 14.6 against the wrong picture the sale person(from Bombay) committed to me which was 9.9. My advise to all is that never ever go fro Barclay card. I have read others experience with Barclay card in this web site and agree with everyone since I too had the most of the similar experiences. Poor customer service, fraud commitments, many hidden charges are some of the best feature you could expect from Barclay card.
I would say to everyone who has a complain concerning Barclays bank, Barclaycard or Barclays it self.

You may wish to ask Jess Staley CEO Barclays plc and/or Sir Ian Cheshire the Chairman of Barclays bank. Why not email them your complaint?
