[Resolved]  Barclays Bank — Mental harassment

Hi, I am being cheated by Barclays Bank. They issued me a credit card which has not been delivered till date and card has been charged. I will have to pay bill for a card which I have never seen.
Summery -
1. 14th/15th Feb- I applied for credit card. The agent promised me 75000 and above credit limit and 2.75% of interest. When I received the statement (Not the card) the credit limit became 32000 and interest rate 3.1%
2. 28th Feb- I received an SMS from Barclays regarding receiving of application.. By that time I got a call from ICICI Lombard that they have some collaboration with Barclays and they are providing me an insurance policy on my Barclaycard. The policy cost me 3, 770 Rs. Neither let me know about any term and conditions nor I signed on any document.
3. 15th March- There was no intimation from the bank’s side about the card application status. I got a credit card statement. For the first time I saw a bank which delivers statement before the card. I was panicked that my card had been delivered to some stranger. The drama began. There was still no credit card.
4. 17th March-28th March- called at customer care a numerous times. Each time they ask me to call at[protected].And I get the network busy for[protected] for almost all the times. I got the statement for the second time. After 1 or 2 days I got ATM PIN number. But still no card.
5. 9th March- could not reach[protected] after calling 100 times. I got to know that I am trapped. I can neither cancel the card nor the Insurance policy.

By this time I have wasted near about 500 Rs calling Barclays and they just do not bother about the situation. The right hand does not know what left hand is doing. And you can not reach the “Left hand”[protected]. How irresponsible Barclays Bank is! They are functioning like a Hot Dog shop on the roadside.
O GOD! Help Barclays India!!

I have got a phone call today, 10th Paril 2008, from Barclays promising me to deliver the card within 7 days.

Barclays Bank — Mentally harassing

Barclays bank people are calling continiously for credit card payment even i do not have any credit card of barclays bank, many time i have informed them but still call are comming.
Hi.. Barclays has reversed the "Insurance Policiy" charges on my credit card. However, they have still not reversed service taxes and late fines incurred on the basic amout.
FYI, Barclays card's Customer care number is: [protected]. I am not sure how long this number will work..since they want to evade customers.
Hi.. I Want to surrender my Barclays Credit card as soon as possible, It has been three days I am trying to talk with customer support, but could not do. Because This Big ( Multinational) Barclays Bank has only one Customer care number that never works ([protected]). They do not even have the budget or can not afford two three phone line for customer. If you can not talk to them in Emergency that what is the significance to have credit card. Also they do not have sufficient ATM and Drop Boxes.

Barclays Bank — Harassed by Barclays Bank

Hi,

I am being harassed by Barclays Bank everyday. They call me on my landline everyday 3-4 times asking me about the due payment. They are looking for some one else, I dont even have a Barclays Bank Card or dont use any of their service.
I have been receiving their calls for the last 2 months and they keep calling me asking for the same person who does not exist & i have told them many times there is no one by the name of the person that they are looking out for.

Your suggestions will be appreciated..Do i lodge a police complaint or do i file a case in the Consumer court please suggest ??
i have an account in barclays bank my ac no. is[protected] i diposited 3 cheque on 3 oct 2009 of which only 2 cheques have been cleared & i still dont have the status of the third cheque. The customer care departments is worthless & only a dummy that does not do anything. They dont have any knowledge of dealing with a customer. I am totally harassed with their attitude and working technique. I already have compliant many times in the bank but it is just wastage of time.Now left with no other choice i want to lodge case against them & claim of worth Rs. 1000000.
