[Resolved]  Bata India Limited — REPAIR / REPLACEMENT OF INFERIOR QUALITY SHOE SOLD BY THEM

Sir,
Few months ago I have purchased on sports shoe ( product code :[protected] from Bata Shoe Store located at Baguiati, Kolkata priced Rs 1099/-( one thousand ninety nine only ) after using it for 2 to 3 days I found the shoe defective ( as it was causing muscle stiffness & the cushioning was not so good ) hence I reported the matter to the shop keeper and after having a few words with them the kept the shoe for examination and latter on they refused to return the money and provided me another fresh pair from there collection and assured me that the product will not harm BATA INDIA's pride next time.

On using the new pair ( product code :[protected]for 2 & 1/2 months I found the sole of the shoe broken by nearly 02 inches again on reporting the matter to the same shop keeper he told me that he was helpless as the product warranty of bata shoe last for maximum 2&1/2 months only but he told me to bring the shoe after the festival season (as in WEST BENGAL numbers of puja's like Durga puja, Kali Puja etc was there and during this time shops used to be packed with customer).

As I am working under Govt Of India, Ministry Of Defence and I get less time to visit the shop for amicable solution in this matter I planed to write the matter to Bata Customer Care (for amicable solution /decision) and for past 1&1/2 months after repeatedly mailing them (as each and every time they doesn't respond to my mail) once they asked me to provide me the details of the shop name, product code, date of purchase, etc and on providing them the same again they didn't conveyed there decision for 3 days again after writing them again after 2 days there Sr customer Care Officer Mr. Tejjinder Bagga wrote me once again to provide me the details ( 3 weeks are about to go ) but till now they didn't conveyed there decision.

As they are neither conveying there decision nor they are responding to my mail (each and very time they are asked to respond to my mail) it is requested to kindly intervene into the matter for a decision .

Dear Sir,

I purchased a Black color slipper ref our article no[protected] of 1 no of your company(Bata) from BATA India limited/S.D.ROAD/Clock tower show room, on 17th Oct around 6.30hrs &, my recept no. dt is on 17/10.2011 . TIN:- [protected] .and I regret to say that quality of that product is really below my imagination. The Strap has come out within a very short interval. I have no satisfaction with the poor quality of products from Bata shoe company.

I have registered the complain on 27.10.2011 4 to replace it but he said that bata company will give only the warranty service on the prodcuts withhin 6 months not the replacement.

And collected the slippers and assured to get the slipper repaired within 2 working days .

He was very admanat and rude to me. He said it will be fixed at our factory and I was asked to take the delivery of the shoe in a week's time. After using it for 5-6 days, the sole of the shoe is completely damaged from the heels and is irreparable. He is again saying that he will fix it. My shoes are with the store and I have been again given a repair slip No 534 dt 30.11.2011. This is a complete harrassment to people like us who have spent so much (Rs.999/-) on the shoe and are being given false assurances. I request your goodself to please replace the shoe at the earliest as the sole of the shoe is of inferior quality and cannot be repaired.

Bata — no repair and replacement as guaranteed while buying

i was promised by the sales executive that if the sandal needs ny repair in one months time they would do it for free ans would also replace if required ,and one doesnt need a to show cash memo or nything as it is their duty to help all the bata customers .
but when i went their they said they need both the leg sandal so i went back and came again and now they r saying that bata company has stopped with the repair and replacement service ...
now what am i suppose to do ??? they r just making me fool and waisting my time ...literally playing pranks on customers...

bata ladies sandals — damaged sandles before 2 months

i have purchased bata sandles from mulund east....bata shoe store ..556/02430 .......at ground floor ,shop no 12,s v road.mulund east,opposite railway station. the sanndles are just one month old but sole is damged and the strips came out. As the bill is lost the factory outlet is not ready to replace the sandles.Bata company would damage the good brand image if such things happened. My self Mrs shailaja Amle residing at 102 b Rajarshi shahu chs , 90 feet road,navghar road request the bata company to replace my sandles at the earliest to protect the brand image

Bata — Shoes damaged within four months of purchase

I purchased a Power sports shoes in August 2011. It was used for my daily morning walk of about 3 km on a normal road. Within four months, the heels of both shoes wore out and developed holes. When I complained to the store in Jayanagar 3rd Block from where I'd bought it, the manager dismissed it as normal wear and tear and said he would neither replace it or repair it.

My shoes typically last for 2-3 years and certainly, this is the first time that a shoe has worn out in four months. This is very poor product quality and customer service. Naturally, I will not be buying Bata again.

I Purchased a BATA Spring model Ladies Slipper in BATA Showroom at Avenue Road Branch in the month of Jan 2011dated 02/01/2011 Bill No - 01411, with in short span of time to Top Layer of the Slipper Resins started shrinking & slowly got torned out, immediately I had taken to BATA Showroom at Avenue Road Branch the person in charge Manager refused to accept the complaint & he asked me to produce the Bill, I was not having the Bill & I requested them to check in the system & arrange a Replacement they refused & I went home & started searching for the Bill finally I got the Bill on 21st Jan, I once again visited the showroom & shown the purchase Bill now they are saying its already one year crossed & we can’t do now anything, I requested them to check the sole of the slipper it was not used & kept as it is & I was in a search of a Bill, they refused & asked me to contact the customer care & get the letter from Customer care to give Replacement.

iam a regular customer & my family people purchased only BATA Brand, I request to arrange a New Replacement & I should not feel pain for the money I paid .

pls arrange a New Replacement .

i am Gautam from Ludhiana (Punjab).i have purchased a shoes pair from your's company outlet in Ludhiana Chaura Bazar.On dated 05, nov 2011 with bill.With in two months both shoes has cracked.i visited the out let dated 2 feb 2012 and requested them to replace it but they said they will repair it .it is humble request to u kindly replace it instead of repair. I, Arunava kar bought Bata shoes from Sarojini Nagar market from shop number-615 on 14 February 2012. The code number is 82890095. However, there was a major manufacturing defect in the left shoe.
The defects are as follows:
1. Lace hole is not in the proper position.
2. Due to the presence of two big wrinkles over the shoe, it looks very odd.
3. Not only that, it is very difficult to tie the shoe.
4. Power tag is one sided.
I went to the shop twice for replacement but instead they repaired it. However, the defects still persist.
Therefore kindly replace it. Hoping to hear from you soon.

i had purchased pair of shoes of NORTH STAR brand in u'r BATA showroom at pangagutta, hyderabad.THE SOLE OF THE shoes ARE DAMAGED WITHIN ONE AND A HALF MONTH. on 05/06/2012 i was purchased a sandal worth of Rs 799/- but after using few days it was damaged!!!
as I'am working in a Govt bank i dont have a time to visit the show room to repair.

Even though i was visited the show room on 21/08/2012 and they have taken 3 days to repair, after repairing the sandal totally looses its look!!! they have use totally mis-match material... iam not satisfy with this poor service..

Kindly do the needful as soon as possible. i am waiting for your response.

dear sir,

i have bought bata shoes in thanjavur branch. but i had a problem with shoe after using one day only. so i went to showroom for exchange of shoes but still they are telling me to wait what the hell they are thinking, i thought that bata is best. after using one day itself the shoe has worn out. but the dealers are telling me to wait for more days, because they need to get answers from quality department. if it is happened for 1month means, i cant use that shoe,
i had a bad experience with bata. tHe first one the ladies chappal broke in one month .The replacement for which i had to pay additional rs100 as that particular model was not available That broke down in 61 daysIt was not replaced as the guaranttee period of 6o months was over SO rs 699 was down the drain as bata does not respond to consumer complaints.Dont go near Bata shop.Does consumer service function in Bata

This is to bring up to your notice that on[protected] i bought a sandle, model no. 561-6051, cash memo no. 03452/3856 and the upper skin of the sandle has got damaged. I went to the retail outlet which is at naveen market, Kanpur. They said they can't help me out as they provide a warranty for 60 days only.I believe Bata is a big brand, am wearing bata shoes since childhood, but for the first time i have faced such problem, i thought at least sandle will last for 6 months.But in this case, sandle is damaged in 3months. Kindly replace those sandle.

Dear Sir,
M/S AB Mauri India Pvt Ltd, P.O. Gayesh pur, Kalyani-741234, Dist:- Nadia, West Bengal has purchased 93 pairs Industrial Shoes (Endura[protected] for employees from BATA Shoe Store, Bata Bazer of 7/A, S.N.Banerjee Road, Kolkata-13, on 01.09.2012. Almost all shoes are found defective and not upto the mark of sample. Repeated mail(as each and every time they responded out of stock to our mail) and telephonic conversation with Mr. Basu Mallick, executive of the Showroom, we were able to replace 43 pairs only. It is very much ridiculous that half of replaced shoes were found inferior quality (Soles Broken easily). Employees of the Factory are chasing everyday for safety shoes and working in factory unsafely since 16.10.2012. We are not able to convey any concrete decision and feeling guilty for buying industrial shoes from such a reputed company.
Mr. Basu Mullik not conveying their decision when it will available till date, it is requested to kindly intervene into the matter for a decision

I visited shop day before yesterday(4/12/12)and i reported the matter to the shop manager;they refused to return the money as well as he not ready to provided other foot wear also.
so i told him to keep this damaged item in your show room as a advertisement.same time he through the footwear from the table to down.
I was very disappointed by the fact that a company of such repute is not willing to even listen to the grievance in a proper manner.

I want to tell you that, I had purchased two items from your outlet situated at Boxi Bazar Chhak, Cuttack, ODISH. Out of two items one ladies shoe (Bata Comfit)is become damaged within 10days o[censored]se.When we went to your outlet for giving complain, the Manager of your above outlet refuse to take complain from us and argued with us. Unfortunately I have misplaced the Cash Memo of the said Items. I am the regular customer of yours. I am staying at Bhadrak which is 100km away from your outlet, At- Boxibazar Chhak, Cuttack Boxi Bazar Chhak. I am a service holder so it is very difficult to go again and again for one shoe. Please consider my case and intimate to your above outlet for replace or repair my shoe.
