[Resolved]  Bescom, Bangalore — Has Taken off the Fuse, without any intimation

Hi Sir,

Here goes my details,

We got a Electricity Bill stating amount due to be paid as Rs1238 / - . due date was 30th May 2011. We made the payment through Cheque. Due to some reasons the payments has not got processed. Later during the 1st week of the June 2011 we got to know that payment has gone, because a guy from Bescom came and informed about the amount due. At that time we were not aware of this cheque not getting processed. He asked the receipt, i showed it. Later today, i.e., 15th of june 2011, we got a bill of amount stating Rs 2238 / - . At the same time he has taken away the Fuse with him without prior intimation or even with the spot intimation. This is one of the worst service which i have recieved from Bescom. The organisation which is not prompt in providing electricity through out the day. when coming to payment of dues, who that idoiot has given the permission to take away the fuse and disconnect the electricity from my house. Please do look into this and take necessary actions.

BESCOM — BESCOM without intimated power-cut

Today the EB representatives taken out the fuse without any prior intimation eventhough I paid all the month bill.
Please do something.

Bescom discconeted the fuse without intimating or giving proper information, even we asked the bescom guy to wait for few mins to check why the the payment was received by the bescom, he is so relunctant to listen and disconnected the fuse, even cut few wires.

This is worst situation or service. Please inform us and give minimum 30 mins of time before disconnecting the fuse or wires. I think this is minimum we expect from the bescom people.

Hi,

The fuse was taken off by lineman without prior intimation. The payment made last month did not go through so we got a clubbed bill this month, the payment due date for which is 24th. And yet the line man has taken off the fuse.

At 9.30 pm at night I realised this folly, as we have a UPS.

How can BESCOM be so unprofessional? Are the authorities listening. Please put an end to this kind o[censored]nprofessional behaviour ...goondaism in other words.

I almost got electrocuted, as at night without the lights I was trying to fix the UPS thinking, that has a problem.

I am sure there is no use of complaining, it is just us trying to vent out. Most of them have complained about this kind of behaviour from BESCOM, but they continue to behave like hooligans.

They try and recruit hooligans I guess as lineman or train them to be one. Best of luck Bangalore, IT city, good progress.
This has happened twice with us. Even though the bill is paid, they have taken away the fuse. Today's bill shows the earlier bill amount as "Arrears". This is purely their software mistake. I have proof that the money has been paid online.

They are just taking the consumers on a ride.

Absolutely shameful about their administration. I don't know whether they feel the same shame.

I have no electricity in my house since over 8 hrs now, BESCOM line man by the name of Narayan Swamy in Whitefield EO4 subdivision, just took the fuse away without even letting me know and cross checking if I have any dues. I have no dues whatsoever and paid my bills on time. Stil I am made to run between one BESCOM office to another. Very pathetic and no one to help. The line man responsible is not even reachable now .

The house was not occupied for months and the electricity bill was not paid for a period of time. So the fuse was taken away.
Now the owner realised it an all the outstanding bills are paid. Can you please let know what is the next process to restore the connection?

But unfortunately my automatic payment has failed to pay a bill of just 300 rs and am at home with no current where a function is going on without electricity.

2) Need to raise a complaint againest that line man
3) Need gazetted document for one month disconnection of electricity with out intimation
4) i could have paid the bill immediately if that guy inform me
5) i need the connection resumed immediately, right now as I have a function at my house
