[Resolved]  Bescom — 6 months delay to give new power connection

I am Dr. Mohan and I have constructed my new house in No 48, 2nd cross, Nandadeepa Layout, Near Panchasheela school, Pattanagere, RR nagar, Bangalore. I have submitted my application for new connection of electricity and registered my application with BESCOM on 18/01/2010 (receipt No. 4084 dated 18/-1/2010).

Initially when I approached the BESCOM officials, I was informed that first of all my layout need to be considered as abandoned layout by KEB and then only I will get power supply to my house.

My electric contractor name is Mr Bhanuprakash. After a long struggle with RR nagar Junior engineer (Mr venkatesh) and AEE (Krishnappa) who were asking money from us through contractor Bhanuprakash (both of them were suspended now on corruption charges, I heard), my layout (Nandadeepa layout) was considered as abandoned layout after running many times to BESCOM office in Byatarayanapura, Mysore Road where the EE office of this area is situated.

Later electric poles were erected along with one transformer. Now KEB wants to change the position of the existing transformer based on the complaint of Mr Krishnappa who is a close relative of another BESCOM executive engineeer (EE) Mr Narasimha Murthy. Krishnappa’s complaint is that the transformer is erected in the corner of his site.

Even though, the present position of the transformer is not creating any problem to anybody, Mr Narasinha Muthy (EE) is using his official power to favour his relative Mr Krishnappa (I was told by my contracter bhanuprakash) and influenced Byatarayanapura BESCOM officials (Mr Jithedra (AE) and Mr Purushotham (EE) to displace the transformer to another place. This decision has been taken few days ago and still the work order has not been given.

It is almost 6 months now after making my application to get the power supply. Still I don’t know how many days these BESCOM people in RR nagar and Byatarayanapura will take to provide power supply. If this is the miserable working condition of BESCOM, who will understand the miserable condition of the consumers like us. I am spending everyday in dark. What is the BESCOM higher authorities are doing? Why so much of corruption and bribary? BJP says they want to give good governance, Is it good governance. An educated man like me is undergoing so much of misery, what will happen to ordinary laymen in out country? Situation is pathetic and needs major surgery.

We have constructed a big house in majestic, bescom not giving power supply connection thanks to kerc rules. Govt is jealous with people who build their houses more than 5000 sqft. Point to note we are not letting out not doing business it is purely for own residents
